The PGA of America lists championship week as May 17 to 23, 2027, at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco in Frisco, Texas. ESPN’s schedule has the four rounds from May 20 to 23. The course has no yardage posted yet, so the course-fit work waits until the setup is published.

Smalley led by two after 54 holes at 6 under. Rai started Sunday two back, tied for second at 4 under, shot 65 and won by three. Kurt Kitayama had the low round of the day, a 63, and jumped to a share of 10th.
Aronimink played as a par 70 at 7,394 yards. 156 players started and 82 played all four rounds. Scottie Scheffler, the 2025 champion, finished tied 14th, and Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele tied for 7th.

That 16-shot range is why a winning-score prop or a round-score line waits for the course. Three player statistics travel better:
- Birdie average: birdies per round. Valhalla in 2024 was a birdie test; Schauffele won at 21 under by one over Bryson DeChambeau.
- Strokes gained: a player’s shots against the field in four areas, off the tee, approach, around the green and putting. It shows which part of a game is carrying a player’s results.
- Scrambling: the share of missed greens where a player still makes par or better. Twelve saves from 20 missed greens is 60%.
Once the yardage and par are posted for PGA Frisco, match those numbers to the course. A long par-72 layout with reachable par 5s rewards birdie average; a par-70 setup like Aronimink rewards scrambling. Futures on the 2027 PGA Championship
