Brewers vs Dodgers Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Brewers on the moneyline again, in Game 4 at Dodger Stadium. We make them 47.5% to win; the price says 41.6%.

DraftKings has Los Angeles at -157 and Milwaukee at +130. The two prices carry a 4.6-point margin. Take it out and the market reads Dodgers 58.4%, Brewers 41.6%. Our number is Dodgers 52.5%, Brewers 47.5%. The gap on the Milwaukee side is 5.9 points, and we bet at 5.

This is a bet on the price, and a thinner one than in Game 3. We still have the Dodgers as the likelier winner, by less than the market does.

How the number is built

Both clubs are rated on what they did over the 2026 regular season: runs scored against runs allowed. The two ratings meet on a neutral field, and the home side then gets the edge home teams earned across the league this year.

Los Angeles scored 801 runs and allowed 600 in 162 games. Raise runs scored to the power 1.83, divide by that plus runs allowed to the same power, and the Dodgers rate 62.9%. Their 100-62 record is a 61.7% rate. Milwaukee scored 832 and allowed 618, which rates 63.3% by runs and 63.6% by a 103-59 record.

Set against each other on a neutral field, the Dodgers are 49.6% to win. Home teams went 1,284-1,145 in the 2026 regular season, a 52.9% rate, and with that edge added Los Angeles reaches 52.5%, Milwaukee 47.5%.

What three games changed

The Brewers lead the best-of-seven National League Championship Series 3-0. They won 2-1 on Sunday 11 October and 7-4 on Monday 12 October at American Family Field, then 6-2 on Wednesday 14 October at Dodger Stadium. In Game 3 the Dodgers scored twice in the sixth to lead 2-1, and Milwaukee answered with three runs in the seventh and one each in the eighth and ninth.

Our Game 3 page said “Pick: Brewers +145”. That call won, as the Brewers +119 call in Game 2 did, and Game 1 was a pass. Two bets and two wins is a count, not a test of a method.

None of the three wins is in the 47.5%. The number reads 162 regular-season games per club and nothing after them, and Game 4 is in the same ballpark as Game 3, so our split has not moved: Dodgers 52.5%, Brewers 47.5%, the same as before Game 3.

The market has moved. At our last Game 3 read it had the Dodgers at 61.0%. For Game 4 it has them at 58.4%, 2.6 points lower. That is why the gap is down from 8.5 points to 5.9. The data here shows the move; it cannot say how much of it is the series and how much is the starters.

The starters

ESPN lists Tyler Glasnow as the Dodgers’ probable starter. The right-hander went 5-2 in the regular season with a 3.53 ERA and a 0.95 WHIP over 74 innings in 13 starts. He struck out 98 and walked 25.

Milwaukee has named nobody at this read. ESPN lists no probable starter for the Brewers, so we do not name one.

No starter’s line is in our 52.5%. It comes from every pitcher each club used across 162 games. The market prices the starters, and when Milwaukee names one the price can move while our number will not.

The season behind it

The Dodgers went 51-30 at home, scoring 4.63 runs a game and allowing 3.95. The Brewers went 48-33 on the road, with 4.75 scored and 4.16 allowed. Each split is 81 games, half a season, so the method keeps all 162 for both clubs.

The clubs met seven times in the regular season and Milwaukee won four. Three of those came in the four games at Dodger Stadium in August, so with Game 3 the Brewers have won four of five in Los Angeles this year, and seven of ten meetings in all. Ten games is a count and proves nothing as a rate. The seven regular-season ones are already inside each club’s totals.

The price

Game 4 opened with the Dodgers at -174 and the Brewers at +144. At 06:09 UTC on 15 October, DraftKings via ESPN has them at -157 and +130. The move since the open is towards Milwaukee, towards our number, and it has already taken 14 cents off the Brewers’ price.

The market’s percentages are the moneyline with its margin removed. The margin is 4.6 points at this read, and the break points below are measured with it.

Pick: Brewers +130

Bet the Brewers at +130. Ours is 47.5%, the market’s is 41.6%, and 5.9 points clears the 5-point threshold.

The bet holds down to +125. At +124 or shorter the gap is under 5 and it is a pass. The Dodgers would be a bet at +102 or longer, and at -157 they are a long way from it.

What changes it

The price first. This read is just under 18 hours before first pitch, and +130 is five cents from the break point. If the move towards Milwaukee goes on and the Brewers drop under +125, there is no bet left.

Then the starters. Glasnow is probable, which is ESPN’s word and short of confirmed, and Milwaukee has not named anyone. Either can move the price and our 47.5% will not. Check the price against +125 before betting.

The total

The total is 7.5, where it opened. The over is -105 and the under -115. Pass on the total.

In the regular season the Dodgers went over 7.5 in 84 of 162 games. The Brewers went over in 82. Those counts include every starter both clubs used all year. A postseason total is set on the two starters named for the night, so a season count cannot measure it. We pass on every postseason total.
