How Washington by 3.6 is reached

Our home margin is half the difference between Washington’s average margin at home and Penn State’s average margin on the road, against FBS teams only, 2025 and 2026 together. Bowl and playoff games are neutral and left out.

Washington is 6-4 at home against FBS teams over that span, winning by 5.5 points a game. Penn State is 3-5 on the road against FBS teams, losing by 1.8 a game. Half the difference is 3.6, which reads as Washington -3.6 against a market line of -2.5.
