James Madison at home, Troy on the road

James Madison’s three home games against FBS teams this season were wins of 20-13 over Liberty on 5 September, 45-17 over Marshall on 3 October and 49-22 over Georgia State on 17 October. The other six games in its home half are from 2025, when it went 7-0 at home.

Troy’s three road games against FBS teams this season were all losses: 27-17 at Missouri on 19 September, 21-10 at Utah State on 26 September and 33-6 at Louisiana on 17 October. That is the weak side of Troy’s half. The rest of its 10-game road sample comes from 2025, when Troy went 4-3 on the road.

Troy is 3-4, 1-2 in the Sun Belt, with two straight losses. It scores 22.9 and allows 24.9. Against FBS teams it is 2-4 with an average margin of -5.2. Its one non-FBS game was a 34-17 home win over Alabama State. None of this is in our number except where it falls into the two halves above.
