Predators vs Bruins Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Bruins at -155. Our number makes Boston a 64.1% winner at home against the price’s 58.3%.
The Boston Bruins are -155 and the Nashville Predators +130 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 58.3% for Boston and 41.7% for Nashville. The price already has the Bruins as the favourites. Our Predators at Bruins prediction has them further ahead, by 5.8 points, against a threshold of 5. That is a thin edge, and it is the whole case.
How 64.1% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins, and neutral-site games are left out. A side is a bet when our chance and the market’s differ by at least 5 points.
The Bruins went 29-11-1 at TD Garden, a 70.7% home win rate. The Predators went 17-16-7 away from home, a 57.5% road loss rate. Average the two and Boston is 64.1%, Nashville 35.9%.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -155 and +130 they come to 104.3%. Taken out, the Bruins are 58.3% and the Predators 41.7%.
What is outside the number
No injury changes the method here. ESPN’s game page (read 22 October 2026, 20:44 UTC) lists no one for Boston. For Nashville it lists Mavrik Bourque, a centre, as day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Juuse Saros has started all seven of Nashville’s games in goal this season, and Jeremy Swayman has started eight of Boston’s ten, with Michael DiPietro in the other two.
This season is not in our figures. Boston is 7-2-1, 3-1-0 at home, and lost 3-2 in overtime at Dallas on Tuesday 20 October. Nashville is 3-2-3, 1-0-2 on the road, and beat St. Louis 5-2 on Saturday 17 October. Records from this few games tell us nothing yet, and nothing is what the method gives them.
Boston at home, Nashville on the road
The Bruins at home scored 3.54 a game and allowed 2.56, a surplus of 0.98 goals. The Predators on the road scored 3.00 and allowed 3.33, a deficit of 0.33.
The halves the method leaves out point the other way. Boston on the road went 16-16-8, a 40.0% win rate, scoring 3.05 and allowing 3.48. Nashville at home went 20-17-3, 50.0%, scoring 3.12 and allowing 3.27. The Bruins were a different team away from their own arena. This game is in their own arena, which is why only the home half is used.
The season around it
Boston finished 45-27-10 with 100 points and a goal difference of +22, then lost its playoff series to Buffalo 2-4. Nashville went 38-34-10 with 86 points, was outscored by 22, and missed the playoffs.
Both teams went 20-8-10 in one-goal games. Boston won 12 of its 22 games that went past regulation, Nashville 10 of its 20. The gap shows up in the margins: the Bruins won by two goals or more 25 times and lost by two or more 19 times, while the Predators won by two or more 18 times and lost by two or more 26 times.
The two meetings split. Boston won 3-2 in overtime at TD Garden on 27 January 2026, and that game is inside our number. Nashville won 6-3 at home on 5 March 2026, and that game sits in the halves we leave out.
Pick: Bruins -155
Bet the Bruins on the moneyline at -155. The gap is 5.8 points toward Boston, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Bruins -155 and Predators +130 on 22 October 2026 at 20:44 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN, ahead of a 7:00 PM ET start. It opened at -166 and +140. The market moved toward Nashville since then: it gives the Predators 1.7 points more than at the open.
What kills the bet
A shorter Bruins price. Against the Predators at +130, Boston stays a bet down to -169. At -144 or longer, the Bruins are a bet whatever Nashville is priced at.
For the Predators to become the bet, they would have to be +268 or longer against Boston at -155, or +224 or longer whatever Boston is priced at. They are +130.
The rest is on the ice. Bourque is the only name on either injury list. Check the lineups and the goalies before you bet.
The total and the puck line
The total is 6.5, over +110 and under -130. The Bruins’ games went over in 42 of 82 (51.2%), the Predators’ in 35 of 82 (42.7%). Boston’s home games averaged 6.10 goals and Nashville’s road games 6.33.
The two rates average to 47.0% for the over. With the margin removed the market prices the over at 45.7% and the under at 54.3%, so our number leans to the over by 1.2 points. Pass on the total.
On the puck line, Bruins -1.5 is +164 and Predators +1.5 is -198, which is 36.3% and 63.7% without the margin. Boston won by two goals or more in 25 of 82 games and Nashville lost by two or more in 26 of 82. Averaged, Bruins -1.5 covers 31.1% of the time against 36.3% priced, a gap of 5.2 points toward Predators +1.5. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so that gap is not a second bet. One bet on this game: the Bruins at -155.
