Last week I added college football to my list of best bets. Picking out 10 games on the Oct. 2 slate, I went 6-4 in those 10 selections.

(#4) Florida Gators at (#21) Texas A&M Aggies Pick: Florida -6½
One of last week’s losses was Florida -15 points against South Carolina. The tight 12-point win acts as a wake-up call on the road this Saturday. Look for the Gators to post an impressive double digit win. They are 8-1 straight-up in their last nine road games.
(#19) Virginia Tech Hokies at (#8) North Carolina Tar Heels Pick: UNDER 60
This is a big matchup in the ACC between two ranked teams. I like the Tar Heels to cover at home but the best bet is the UNDER. It has stayed UNDER in five of the last six meetings in North Carolina.
(#22) Texas Longhorns at Oklahoma Sooners Pick: Texas +2½
As the class of the Big 12 the past few seasons, each of these teams is in desperate need of a win this Saturday. Oklahoma has won four of the last five meetings SU. But I am banking on the Longhorns’ 7-1 record against the spread in the last eight games against their bitter rival.

(#14) Tennessee Volunteers at (#3) Georgia Bulldogs Pick: UNDER 45
Tennessee is better than advertised with a pair of solid SEC wins over South Carolina and Missouri. Georgia has found its form with last week’s romp over Auburn. Defense takes center stage in this SEC East showdown.
Arkansas Razorbacks at (#13) Auburn Tigers Pick: Auburn -16½
The Razorbacks stunned Mississippi State last Saturday as 17-point underdogs with the SU road win. The heat gets turned up much hotter this week against the Tigers. An angry Auburn team has won six of its last seven games against Arkansas SU and ATS.
(#2) Alabama Crimson Tide at Ole Miss Rebels Pick: UNDER 74
Alabama looked rather impressive against Texas A&M last week with 52 points. But I see defense as a bigger factor in this matchup. Ole Miss is 6-3 ATS in its last nine games against the Tide but I still like the UNDER as the top play.

Temple Owls at Navy Midshipmen Pick: Temple -3
Temple will finally be making its season debut. It is hard to know what to expect sight unseen. However, this is still the better overall team in this AAC matchup. The trends favor the Owls at 6-1 ATS in the last seven meetings.
Florida State Seminoles at (#5) Notre Dame Fighting Irish Pick: OVER 54
Florida State has failed to cover in its first three games with a 1-2 SU start. The Irish are well rested and ready to resume their winning ways against the ACC. Stick with the OVER. It has paid off in five of Florida State’s last seven games.
(#7) Miami Hurricanes at (#1) Clemson Tigers Pick: Miami +15
Miami has a chance to make a statement Saturday night at 3-0 both SU and ATS. Clemson has just one SU loss in its last 25 games. The Tigers get the win but Miami keeps things closer than the spread.
Missouri Tigers at (#17) LSU Tigers Pick: LSU -20½
This game could be perfect timing for the Tigers. Following Missouri, they face Florida, Auburn and Alabama in three of their next four games. I am betting LSU does not look past this game in a three-plus touchdown romp.
