#1 Houston (18-2) are a strong defensive team and allow just 53.3 PPG (1st). The concern with Houston is they’ve only played two ranked opponents, losing to #8 Alabama and defeating #2 Virginia.

#3 Purdue (19-1) are first in the Big Ten and should be ranked first in the country. Purdue are efficient on offense (1.119 – 9th) and they only allow 60.1 PPG (10th). They’re 3-0 against ranked opponents.

#4 Alabama (17-2) are undefeated in SEC play and lead the conference standings. Alabama are 5-2 against ranked opponents. They’re one of the highest scoring teams in CBB (84.1 PPG – 2nd).

#2 Kansas (16-3) are coming off two losses against #13 Kansas State and #14 TCU. The Jayhawks are now 3-3 against ranked opponents. Jalen Wilson (21.3 PPG and 8.8 RPG) is having a great season.

#5 UCLA (17-3) are first place in the Pac-12 Conference. The Bruins are one of the most efficient teams on defense (0.858 – 4th) and they’re allowing 59.8 PPG (9th). UCLA are 2-3 against ranked opponents.

#9 Tennessee (16-3) are third in the SEC and they’re 2-1 against ranked opponents. Like multiple teams on this list, the Volunteers are efficient on defense (0.783 (1st) and only allow 54.4 PPG (2nd).
