Stanford vs Louisville Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Our Stanford vs Louisville prediction is no bet. Our number has Louisville by 19.8, the line is 22.5, and that gap is short of the 3 points we need.

Louisville is a 22.5-point favorite at DraftKings, read 30 October 2026 at 00:40 UTC. Our number is Louisville by 19.8. The gap is 2.7 points toward Stanford. The threshold for a bet is 3.0, so the price stands.

The odds and what they say

Both sides of the spread are priced at -110: Louisville -22.5 and Stanford +22.5. The line opened at Louisville -21. This is an ACC game, kicking off Saturday 31 October at 3:15 PM ET at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium in Louisville. Neither team is ranked in the AP Poll, Week 9.

The moneyline is Louisville -2100 and Stanford +1100. A book builds a margin into every pair of prices, the extra that makes the two add to more than 100%. With it removed, the market gives Louisville a 92.0% chance to win and Stanford 8.0%. ESPN’s FPI is higher on Louisville, at 97.2%. Our method does not use the moneyline. It stakes the spread.

How 19.8 is reached

Our number is half the difference between the home team’s average margin at home and the visitor’s average margin on the road. It counts games against FBS teams only, over 2025 and 2026 together. Bowl and playoff games are played at neutral sites, so they are left out.

Louisville is 6-4 at home against FBS teams over that span, winning by 11.6 points a game. Stanford is 0-9 on the road against FBS teams, losing by 28.0 a game. Half the difference between those two averages is 19.8.

The base is 10 Louisville home games and 9 Stanford road games. Both clear the 4-game minimum the rule sets. A side is a bet when our number and the spread are at least 3 points apart. Here they are 2.7 apart.

Who is out

ESPN’s game page, read 30 October 2026 at 00:39 UTC, lists no injuries for either team. Nothing on this page changes the number for availability.

That list can move before kickoff. An absence on it after 00:39 UTC is not in our number.

This season so far

Records sit outside the method. Louisville is 4-3, 3-2 in the ACC, and has won two straight. Against FBS teams it is 3-3, with a margin of +5.5 a game. Its overall margin of +11.3 includes a 59-13 win over Villanova, a team outside the FBS.

Stanford is 4-4, 2-3 in the ACC, and has also won two straight, the last 31-28 over NC State on 23 October. Against FBS teams it is 3-4, with a margin of -21.7 a game. Its 34-7 win over Elon came against a team outside the FBS.

Stanford’s -21.7 against FBS teams this season sits near the spread. This season’s form agrees with the market. The 2.7-point lean toward Stanford comes from the longer sample, and it is not large enough to stake.

The two teams did not play each other in 2025 or 2026. No meeting is in our number.

Pick: No bet

No bet on Stanford +22.5 or Louisville -22.5. The gap is 2.7 points toward Stanford, against a 3.0-point threshold. The spread is -110 on both sides at DraftKings, read 30 October 2026 at 00:40 UTC. It opened at Louisville -21.

The price is close to right. Our number and this season’s FBS margins both point to a Louisville win by about three touchdowns, and 22.5 sits inside that range.

What changes the call

The line. Stanford becomes a bet at +22.8 or better. Louisville becomes a bet at -16.8 or better.

No injuries are listed on ESPN’s game page as of 00:39 UTC on 30 October. A late absence does not re-run our number unless it is a starter with enough games missed to measure. Check the lineups before you bet.
