Vanderbilt at Georgia Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Our number has Georgia by 8.8. At +24.5, take Vanderbilt.

No. 2 Georgia opened as a 23.5-point favorite over Vanderbilt at DraftKings and is 24.5 now. Our number is Georgia by 8.8. The gap is 15.7 points, and the threshold for a bet here is 3.

How the number is built

The method is one clause: our number is half the difference between the home team’s average margin at home and the visitor’s average margin on the road, against FBS teams only, over 2025 and 2026 together.

Georgia is 7-1 at home against FBS teams over that span, winning by 24.9 points a game across 8 games. Vanderbilt is 3-3 on the road against FBS teams, winning by 7.3 a game across 6 games. The difference is 17.6 points. Half of it is 8.8.

Eight and six games is what there is. Three of the 14 come from 2026: Georgia’s 70-20 win over Western Kentucky and 41-13 win over Oklahoma, and Vanderbilt’s 21-15 loss at Auburn on 26 September.

Vanderbilt on the road

The spread asks whether Georgia wins by 25 or more. In its 6 road games against FBS teams, Vanderbilt has not lost by more than 16.

That 16-point loss was 30-14 at Alabama in 2025. The other two were close: 34-31 at Texas and 21-15 at Auburn. The three wins, all in 2025, were 44-20 at Virginia Tech, 31-7 at South Carolina and 45-24 at Tennessee.

Georgia’s home margins are the case for the favorite, and it is a strong one. Georgia won by 25 or more in 5 of its 8 home games against FBS teams: 45-7 over Marshall, 35-10 over Texas, 35-3 over Charlotte, then 70-20 and 41-13 this season. The one loss was 24-21 to Alabama in 2025. The method averages the two sides, and the average lands at 8.8.

2026 so far

Georgia is 4-0 and 2-0 in the SEC: 63-3 over Tennessee State, a team outside the FBS, 70-20 over Western Kentucky, 45-17 at Arkansas and 41-13 over Oklahoma on 26 September. Against its three FBS opponents it has scored 52.0 a game and allowed 16.7.
