Hawai’i at Wyoming Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Last Updated on

Our number has Wyoming by 3.9. At +3, take Wyoming.

Hawai’i opened as a 5.5-point favourite at Wyoming on DraftKings and is 3 now. Our number has the home team winning, by 3.9. The gap is 6.9 points, and the threshold for a bet here is 3.

How the number is built

The method is one clause: our number is half the difference between the home team’s average margin at home and the visitor’s average margin on the road, against FBS teams only, 2025 and 2026 together.

Wyoming is 2-3 at home against FBS teams over that span, losing by 2.0 points a game across 5 games. Hawai’i is 2-4 on the road against FBS teams, losing by 9.7 a game across 6 games. The difference is 7.7 points. Half of it, rounded, is 3.9, in Wyoming’s favour.

Five and six games is thin. All five of Wyoming’s are from 2025, because it has not hosted an FBS team this season. One of Hawai’i’s six is from 2026: the 37-27 loss at Stanford on 29 August.

Hawai’i on the road

Hawai’i’s road results carry most of the number. In 2025 it lost 40-6 at Arizona, 45-38 at San José State and 38-10 at UNLV. It won 44-35 at Air Force and 31-19 at Colorado State.

Wyoming’s home games were closer. It lost 31-6 to Utah, 31-17 to UNLV and 13-7 to Nevada, and beat San José State 35-28 and Colorado State 28-0. A home side losing by 2.0 against a visitor losing by 9.7 on the road is a home side that should be favoured.

The market has Wyoming as a 3-point underdog. That is the whole disagreement.

2026 so far

Hawai’i is 1-2, and all three games were against FBS teams. After the loss at Stanford it lost 21-6 at home to UNLV, then beat New Mexico State 29-19 on 12 September. It has scored 20.7 a game and allowed 25.7.

Wyoming is 1-2. It lost 35-13 at Colorado State on 5 September, beat Northern Colorado, a team outside the FBS, 21-13, and lost 24-10 at Central Michigan on 19 September. Against its two FBS opponents it has scored 11.5 a game and allowed 29.5.

This is a Mountain West game. Hawai’i is 0-1 in the conference; Wyoming is 0-0.

Both of those make Hawai’i the likelier winner. Ours makes Wyoming the likelier winner, and the market has moved 2.5 points toward that view since the open.

Pick: Wyoming +3

Wyoming +3 at -108. The gap is 6.9 points against a 3-point threshold.

It rests on 11 games, split 5 and 6, and 10 of them are from 2025. Wyoming’s 2026 form, 11.5 points a game against FBS teams, is not in the number, because both of those games were on the road.

What changes it

A line move toward Wyoming. At Wyoming -0.5 the gap is 3.4 and the bet stands. At Wyoming -1 it is 2.9, and the call becomes a pass.

Availability is the other thing, and this page does not state it. Check the injury report before you bet.

The total

The total opened at 44.5 and is 44.5 now, over and under both -110, as read at DraftKings.
