Rams vs Raiders prediction: Take the Rams -3

Our Rams vs Raiders prediction is the Rams -3, and only at 3. At -3.5 we pass.

A team that went 12-5 last season and reached the conference championship game is laying three points to a team that went 3-14. That is the argument. The case against it is six weeks of 2026, where the Rams are 2-4 and the Raiders 3-3, and this page deals with that case before it lands the bet.

Rams vs Raiders odds and what they say

Across 11 US sportsbooks read through Nucleus on 23 October 2026 at 21:10 UTC, the median has the Los Angeles Rams -3 at the Las Vegas Raiders. Six books hang -3 and five have -3.5. Prices on the Rams side run from -120 to +100 across the 11. Shop around, because the half point decides whether this is a bet at all.

The moneyline median is Rams -175 and Raiders +150. A book builds in a margin, the extra that makes the two prices add to more than 100%. With the margin taken out, the market gives the Rams a 61.4% chance to win and the Raiders 38.6%. We do not stake the moneyline. It is context for the spread.

How Rams by 5.33 is reached

The method for the side is one rule. It takes half the gap between the two teams’ points-per-game differentials and adds 2.5 points for home field. In 2025 the Rams were +10.12 a game and the Raiders -11.24. On last season alone, that makes the Rams 8.18-point favourites in Las Vegas.

The market says 3. Against our 2025 number, that is an edge of 5.18 points on the Rams. Our threshold is 2, and the rule asks for it twice: once on 2025 and once on the 2025 and 2026 results weighted by games played. The weighted number is Rams by 5.33, an edge of 2.33. Both clear, the same way.

Here is the concession. The 2026 games on their own point the other way: the Rams are -0.5 a game and the Raiders exactly even, and that version has the Raiders by 2.75. Six games against a full season and a playoff run is not a fair fight, and the blend already gives those six games their weight. It still says Rams.

This season so far

Win-loss records and results against the closing line sit outside our number, which is built on points alone. The Rams are 2-4, with 135 scored and 138 allowed. They lost 27-7 to San Francisco in Week 1, beat the Giants 28-6, lost 30-26 at Denver and won 24-20 at Philadelphia. Then came a 37-34 loss to Buffalo and an 18-16 loss to Arizona as 12.5-point favourites.

So why back a team that just lost outright as a double-digit favourite? Because the Rams lost by 2 and 3 points in those last two, and a 37-34 game is not a team that has stopped scoring. Personally, I think the 2-4 record oversells the decline.

The Raiders are 3-3, with 162 scored and 162 allowed. They beat Miami 27-13, won 26-14 at the Chargers and 35-27 at New Orleans. Then they lost 30-27 to Kansas City, 45-17 at New England and 33-30 to Buffalo. Against the closing spread they covered against Miami, the Chargers, New Orleans, Kansas City and Buffalo, and did not at New England. That is the best argument for the other side, and it is a cover record, which our method does not use.

Rams on the road, Raiders at home

The method uses full-season rates, so the venue halves below are outside it. These splits leave out neutral-site games. In 2025 the Rams went 4-4 on the road, scoring 31.5 a game and allowing 24.2. At home they were 7-1, scoring 28.9 and allowing 18.1.

The Raiders went 2-7 at home in 2025, scoring 16.6 a game and allowing 23.6. On the road they were 1-7, at 11.5 scored and 27.5 allowed. This season the Rams are 1-1 away, losing at Denver and winning at Philadelphia, and the Raiders are 1-2 at home, beating Miami and losing to Kansas City and Buffalo. Last season’s road halves favour the Rams more than the method does.

The 2025 season around it

The Rams finished 12-5 with a points difference of +172, went 4-2 in the NFC West and 4-5 in one-score games. Their median game total was 51. In the playoffs they won 34-31 at Carolina in the Wild Card round and 20-17 at Chicago in the Divisional round, then lost 31-27 at Seattle in the conference championship game.

The Raiders finished 3-14 with a points difference of -191. They were 1-5 in the AFC West and 2-5 in one-score games, with a median game total of 41 and no playoffs. These teams sit in different conferences, and they have not played each other since the start of the 2025 season, so there is no head-to-head result in our number or outside it.

Pick: Rams -3

The bet is the Rams -3. The smaller of our two edges is 2.33 points, against a threshold of 2. The price is the median of 11 books via Nucleus, read 23 October 2026 at 21:10 UTC, with the Rams side running from -120 to +100.

The early quotes for this game were Rams -7.5 and -8.5 on 11 September. The line now is -3. Worst number to bet: Rams -3. The Raiders might keep covering the way they have all season, and the 2026 numbers alone back them, but a full season of Rams +10.12 against Raiders -11.24 outweighs six weeks. Give me the Rams.

What kills the bet

The price kills it first. The Rams are a bet at -3.33 or better, so -3 qualifies and the -3.5 at five of the 11 books does not. If our book moves to 3.5, we pass. The Raiders side becomes the bet only at +10.18, a number this game is nowhere near.

No injury report is quoted on this page, so nobody’s absence has been priced into the call. Check the lineups before you bet, and check the price at the same time: the line has moved from -7.5 to -3 since 11 September.

The total: a lean to the under 48.5

The method for the total gives each team the average of what it scored a game and what the other side allowed. In 2025 that puts the Rams at 27.95 points and the Raiders at 17.3, a total of 45.25. Nine books have 48.5 and two have 48, so the 2025 edge on the under is 3.25 points. Weighted with 2026, the total is 46.42 and the edge 2.08.

That clears the rule too, but the spread is the bet on this game, so the under is a lean and not a second bet. It holds at 48.42 or higher, which means 48.5 works and 48 does not. The over needs 43.25 or lower. The 2026 games alone give 49.75, above the market, and that is the risk.

The books opened this total at 46.5 on 19 October and have 48.5 now. In 2025, 13 of the Raiders’ games finished under 48.5 and 4 went over. The Rams went over in 10 and under in 7. This season the Raiders have gone over 48.5 four times and the Rams twice.

Every number on this page comes from one rule applied to points scored and allowed, the same rule on every game, with a bet only when the gap clears 2 points on both versions of the season. We bet the Rams -3 and lean under 48.5. Read the price again on Sunday morning before kickoff.
