Carlos Santana went 2-for-4 with a double, a homer and four RBIs, and the Minnesota Twins cruised to a 16-5 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night in Anaheim, Calif. Santana homered for the third game in a row for Minnesota, which won its sixth straight contest. Edouard Julien went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, and Max Kepler finished 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs. Jo Adell went 3-for-4 with a homer and three RBIs to lead the Angels, who lost for the eighth time in their past nine games. Twins right-hander Chris Paddack (2-1) allowed four runs on eight hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out two. Angels right-hander Jose Soriano (0-4) gave up four runs on three hits in 1 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out one. The Twins scored the game’s first run on a bases-loaded walk in the first inning. Minnesota added three runs in the second to pull ahead 4-0. Alex Kirilloff hit a sacrifice fly before Julien and Trevor Larnach each ripped run-scoring singles. The Angels got on the scoreboard with Adell’s two-run shot to left-center in the bottom of the second. It was his third homer of the season. In the third, the Twins continued to batter Suarez. Santana belted an RBI double to center and Kyle Farmer clubbed a two-run double to left to make it 7-2. Los Angeles cut the deficit to 7-4 in the bottom of the third. Aaron Hicks hit an RBI single to center, and Adell notched his third RBI of the game with a run-scoring single to left. Santana made it 10-4 with a three-run homer to right in the top of the fourth. Kepler added a solo shot in the sixth to put the Twins on top 11-4. The rout continued in the seventh. Kirilloff hit an RBI single to right and Julien followed with a two-run double to left to make it 14-4. Brandon Drury hit a sacrifice fly for the Angels in the bottom of the seventh.
