Bruins vs Ducks Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Bet the Ducks at even money. The market has Boston as the favourite; our number has Anaheim at 59.3% against the price’s 47.8%, an 11.5-point gap.

The Boston Bruins are -120 and the Anaheim Ducks +100 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that prices Boston at 52.2% and Anaheim at 47.8%. Our number has the Ducks at 59.3%. This is not a small edge on the same favourite: we have the other team winning.

Where 59.3% comes from

The number is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out of both. Anaheim had none; Boston’s Stadium Series game in Tampa is out of its road half.

The Ducks went 24-13-4 at the Honda Center: 24 wins, 13 regulation losses, 4 after regulation, a 58.5% home win rate over 41 games. The Bruins went 16-16-8 on the road and lost 24 of 40, a 60.0% road loss rate. Average the two and Anaheim is 59.3%, Boston 40.7%.

Both halves point the same way, and Boston’s is the sharper one. The Bruins won 16 of 40 away from home, and a price that makes them favourites in Anaheim reads like a team that travelled far better than that.

The margin is the extra a book puts into both prices so they add to more than 100%. At -120 and +100 they add to 104.5%. Taken out, the Bruins are 52.2% and the Ducks 47.8%.

The objection is plain, and it is fair. Boston was the better team over the season and very hard to beat at home, and none of that is in our number by design: the method takes the same two halves on every page. Our inputs are 41 Anaheim home games and 40 Boston road games, all from 2025-26.

This season has started for both and none of it is in the figures. Boston is 5-2-0 and won 6-3 in San Jose on Tuesday. Anaheim is 4-2-0 and lost 4-2 at home to Calgary the same night. Neither has played since.

Anaheim at home, Boston on the road

The goals say the same thing as the records. Boston scored 3.05 a game on the road and allowed 3.48, outscored by 0.43. Anaheim at home scored 3.54 and allowed 3.49, close to level. Neither number is strong. The Bruins’ is the weaker one.

The other halves, which the method does not use, run the other way: Boston at home went 29-11-1, a 70.7% win rate, scoring 3.54 and allowing 2.56. Anaheim on the road went 19-20-2, 46.3%, scoring 3.12 and allowing 3.54.

Over the full season Boston finished 45-27-10 with 100 points and outscored opponents by 22, then lost its only playoff series, 4-2 to Buffalo. Anaheim finished 43-33-6 with 92 points and was outscored by 15, then beat Edmonton 4-2 before losing 4-2 to Vegas.

The Ducks won close. They went 24-6-6 in one-goal games, went past regulation 23 times and won 17 of them, and only 19 of their 43 wins came by two goals or more. That is a record that can turn on a few bounces, and it is the best argument against our number. Boston went 20-8-10 in one-goal games and won 12 of 22 past 60 minutes.

Anaheim won both meetings in 2025-26. The Ducks won 7-5 at TD Garden on 23 October and 4-3 at the Honda Center on 19 November. Only the game in Anaheim is in our number: it is one of the Ducks’ 41 home games and one of the Bruins’ 40 road games. The game in Boston is in neither half.

Pick: Ducks +100

Bet the Ducks on the moneyline at +100. The gap is 11.5 points toward Anaheim, against a threshold of 5.

The line opened at Bruins -120 and Ducks +100 and had not moved when it was read on 15 October 2026 at 20:30 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN.

What kills the bet

A Ducks price that drifts the other way. At -118 or longer Anaheim is a bet whatever Boston is priced at. Against -120 on the Bruins, the Ducks still clear the bar down to -185, so there is room.

For the Bruins to become the bet, they would have to come out to +181 or longer. They are -120.

Our number says Anaheim wins about three games in five, which still leaves two for Boston. Lineups are the other unknown, and this page states nothing about who plays for either team on 16 October. Check both before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 6.5, over +105 and under -125. The Ducks’ games went over 6.5 in 49 of 82, the Bruins’ in 42 of 82. Anaheim’s home games averaged 7.03 goals, Boston’s road games 6.53.

That is 59.8% and 51.2%, an average of 55.5%. The over at +105 is priced at 46.8% once the margin is removed. The gap is 8.7 points. Our method bets the moneyline only, so on the total a gap this size is a lean: the over 6.5 at +105. Most of it comes from Anaheim.

The puck line has nothing in it. Boston is -1.5 at +195 and Anaheim +1.5 at -238, which is 32.5% and 67.5% without the margin. The Bruins won by two goals or more in 25 of 82 games, and the Ducks lost by two or more in 27 of 82. Averaged, Boston -1.5 lands 31.7% of the time against 32.5% priced, a gap under 1 point. Pass. One bet on this game: the Ducks at +100.
