The 2021 season couldn’t have gone much worse for the Jacksonville Jaguars as they finished the year with a 3-14 record. Head coach Urban Meyer was also fired during the year, and there were a number of embarrassing losses along the way.
Jacksonville did end the 2021 season with a win over the Indianapolis Colts, and that could give them some momentum heading into 2022.

Most experts would agree that Jacksonville did well in free agency, and they brought in a number of players that could have a big impact in 2022. There were some key losses, though, including wide receiver DJ Chark.
The defense also took a big hit in the offseason as linebacker Myles Jack moved on and signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Defensive tackle Taven Bryan is also gone, and that leaves a big hole on the defensive line.

Quarterback Trevor Lawrence should take a big step for the offense in 2022, and the Jaguars could have a terrific offense. The defense was actually a good unit for the Jaguars a season ago, and that group could build on that foundation.

2022 Jacksonville Football Schedule
Outside of playing six games against AFC South opponents in 2022, the NFL has given the Jaguars one of the easiest schedules on paper for this season. Jacksonville will play every team from both the AFC West and NFC East Divisions this season.
The final three games on the schedule for the Jaguars include a home game with the Baltimore Ravens and road games at the Detroit Lions and New York Jets.
