Week 2 of the new NFL season is in the books. Some teams have played to expectations and others are already off the rail just two games into the 16-game schedule.
Recapping my Top 10 picks for week 2, I went 6-4 to duplicate my record from the opening round of games. Here are 10 more solid NFL picks for this week’s matchups.

NFL Week 3 Predictions – ATS and Over/Under

Miami Dolphins at Jacksonville Jaguars Week 3 Pick: UNDER 47½
Miami is still looking for its first straight-up win against a Jaguars’ team that is playing better than expected. I actually like the Dolphins and the points in this game but I like the UNDER better. The total has stayed UNDER in six of the last seven meetings.
Houston Texans at Pittsburgh Steelers Week 3 Pick: Pittsburgh -3½
The Texans 0-2 start is understandable against Kansas City and Baltimore. Things do not get all that easier this week on the road. The Steelers have won five of their last six home games SU making things even tougher for Houston.
San Francisco 49ers at New York Giants Week 3 Pick: San Francisco -4
The 49ers paid a steep price in last Sunday’s 31-13 victory over the New York Jets with crucial injuries. Those losses will take their toll down the road, but for this Sunday, San Francisco still has enough to win and cover for the New York sweep.

Washington Football Team at Cleveland Browns Week 3 Pick: UNDER 44
After a huge defensive effort against rival Philadelphia in Week 1, Washington came back to earth in an ugly loss to Arizona. This offense will struggle again this week to keep this total lower than expected.
Chicago Bears at Atlanta Falcons Week 3 Pick: Atlanta -3½
The Chicago Bears are off to a promising 2-0 start after squeezing past the Giants. Atlanta needs to quickly put last Sunday’s collapse against Dallas aside. The Falcons are still the better team in this pairing and I see them playing the full four quarters this Sunday.
New York Jets at Indianapolis Colts Week 3 Pick: Indianapolis -10½
The 0-2 start (SU and ATS) by the Jets is no big surprise. They were expected to bring up the rear in the AFC East and they are just following suit. At 1-1 (SU and ATS), the Colts are still trying to figure things out. I’m betting Indy take a big step forward on Sunday.
Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals Week 3 Pick: Arizona -5½
I gave too much credit to Detroit’s ability to keep last week’s loss to the Green Bay Packers close. I am not about to make the same mistake twice against an Arizona team that has played better than advertised at 2-0 both SU and ATS.

Dallas Cowboys at Seattle Seahawks Week 3 Pick: UNDER 55
Dallas has already given up 59 points in two games. Seattle has scored a combined 73 points in its 2-0 start (SU and ATS). Recent trends point to a lower score than expected. The total has stayed UNDER in eight of the last 11 meetings between these two teams.
Green Bay Packers at New Orleans Saints Week 3 Pick: OVER 51½
The Packers are off to a 2-0 start both SU and ATS while the Saints were stunned by Las Vegas on Monday night. Either way in this matchup, there will be points on the board. The total has gone OVER in eight of the last nine games between these two NFC rivals.
Kansas City Chiefs at Baltimore Ravens Week 3 Pick: Kansas City +3½
The first big showdown of the season highlight’s Monday night football. These teams are evenly matched with Kansas City getting the slight edge of offense while Baltimore gets the lean on defense. The added half point on the field goal spread tips things in favor of the KC Chiefs.
