Binghamton Bearcats

College Basketball

The Bearcats won one road game in 15 in 2025-26, and only nine Division I teams cost a blind backer more. As underdogs they still covered 13 of 25, so the spread was kinder to them than the scoreboard.

Where the money went

One unit on Binghamton to win, in each of the 27 games with a posted moneyline, finished 15.15 units down. Only nine Division I teams lost more that way. The road took 11.05 of it: away from home the Bearcats went 1-14 straight up, and only ten teams bled more on their road moneylines.

Against the spread

The number treated them better. Binghamton covered 13 of its 28 lined games, 46.4%, and 13 of 25 as an underdog, 52%. At home they covered 7 of 12; on the road, 6 of 15, two of those in November routs that still beat the number: 83-70 at Georgetown as 27.5-point underdogs and 90-82 at Longwood getting 15.5.

Three times favored, three losses

Laying points was the trap. The Bearcats were favored three times and lost all three without a cover: 67-59 at home to Niagara at -155, 63-52 to Maryland Eastern Shore at -275 on a neutral floor, and 73-65 at home to NJIT at -166. Binghamton and eight other Division I teams never covered as favorites.

The conference pairs

Bryant was the one opponent they beat twice, covering both and returning 3.05 units, the second as +195 underdogs on the road, 79-67. Vermont won both meetings, yet Binghamton covered both, including a 60-59 loss as 20.5-point underdogs in January.

January was the floor: 1-7 straight up and 5.90 units lost, even with four covers in eight. February was the least bad month: 3-5, five covers in eight, 0.70 units lost, and the Bearcats closed it by winning three of their last four.

The total

Sixteen overs and 12 unders; 59 teams went over more often, so there is no total lean to sell.
