George Washington Revolutionaries

Backing the Revolutionaries when they were favored lost 5.72 units in 2025-26, and only six Division I teams lost more in that spot. On the road they covered three times in ten.

Favored, and overpriced

George Washington were favorites 25 times and won 16. Put one unit on the Revolutionaries to win in each of the 24 priced games as favorites and you lost 5.72. Six Division I teams lost more that way; 354 lost less or made money. Across all 31 priced games the bet finished 10.72 down. As underdogs they went 1-6 for a 5.0-unit loss; the one win was 99-95 over South Florida at even money.

Beaten at home at long odds-on

The tell came in their own gym. Delaware won there 70-58 on 10 December with GW priced at -3600. Davidson won 84-79 on 14 January at -575, and Fordham 79-65 on 31 January at -850. That is three of their four home losses. One defeat at -3600 cancels 36 winning tickets.

January was the worst month: 3-5, 4.69 units lost.

On the road

On the road GW went 3-7 and covered 3 of 10, 30%. Only 20 Division I teams covered less often away, and five matched it. The moneyline lost 6.06 units in nine priced road games.

Against the spread

Over the season they covered 14 of 32, 43.8%, and 11 of 25 when laying points.

Atlantic 10 meetings

Dayton beat them twice, by seven and by two. Saint Louis did too, the second time in the Atlantic 10 tournament quarterfinal, 88-81. La Salle and Richmond lost both meetings and GW covered all four.

The total

Seventeen unders, 15 overs: nothing to lean on. The season ended in the NIT, a 79-78 win over Utah Valley and then an 86-61 loss at the hands of New Mexico.
