Missouri State on the road

Western Kentucky at home

Western Kentucky beat Sam Houston 41-24, Nevada 31-16, New Mexico State 35-16 and Middle Tennessee 42-26 at home in 2025. The loss was 25-6 to Florida International on 14 October 2025.

All five were decided by 15 points or more, the loss included. That is a strong sample, and a small one.

2026 so far

Western Kentucky is 1-3 and 0-3 against FBS teams. It lost 49-14 at Nevada, 70-20 at Georgia and 38-0 at Indiana, and beat Mercyhurst 52-7, a team outside the FBS. Against FBS teams it has scored 11.3 a game and allowed 52.3. All three losses were on the road, so none is in the method.

Missouri State is also 1-3 and 0-3 against FBS teams, scoring 16.0 and allowing 38.0 against them. Besides the Texas A&M and SMU losses, it lost 30-24 at home to Marshall and beat Lindenwood 48-14.

Last season and the meeting

Western Kentucky went 9-4 in 2025 with an average margin of +6.7, and won its bowl 27-16 over Southern Miss on 23 December. Missouri State went 7-6 at -3.2, and lost its bowl 34-28 to Arkansas State on 18 December.

They met once, on 27 September 2025. Western Kentucky won 27-22 at Missouri State.
