LaLiga Predictions and Picks
Free LaLiga predictions and picks for every match. Three prices, our three chances, and the call: bet or pass.
Start with the home side
Watch the home team in Spain. In 2025-26 LaLiga home sides won 186 of 380 matches, 48.9%, the strongest home record of Europe’s big five. Away sides won 101, 26.6%. The draw came in 93 times, 24.5%.
So a LaLiga prediction starts where the league does: with the home price. Our chance for each of the three results, set against the market’s with the margin taken out. Five points apart is a bet. Under that, we pass.
The heavy favorite
Here is the tell. From December to May, when one side was priced above 60% to win, the match was drawn only twice in 38. The prices had the draw at 17.2%.
In the even matches it went the other way: 33 draws in 103, a little above the price. Two half-season samples, one small. Still, in LaLiga the strong side tended to finish the job, and the coin-flip matches were the ones that ended level.
Who paid in Spain
Back each LaLiga club to win in all of its priced matches, December to May, one unit at a time. Celta Vigo returned 11.5 units on 11 wins in 24. Getafe returned 10.1 on just 9. Barcelona won 19 of 23 and returned 4.4: winning almost every week, at short prices, pays little.
At the other end, Real Oviedo won 4 in 24 and cost 10.5 units. Athletic Club and Real Sociedad each won 7 and lost money.
How LaLiga matches finish
Tight. A 2-1 either way came up 69 times and 1-0 68 times; 1-1 and 2-0 followed. The average match had 2.69 goals; both sides scored in 56.6%, and exactly half went over 2.5.
The totals the market posted held up close to even at 2.5: 92 overs in 176. The rare 1.5 lines went over 18 times in 27; the 3.5 lines, 12 in 35.
Scoring peaked in March, 3.06 goals a match, and dipped in December, 2.44.
The big clubs, beaten
Underdogs won 56 of the 239 priced matches. The longest prices came against the biggest names. Celta Vigo beat Real Madrid 2-0 at +900 in December. Getafe beat Real Madrid 1-0 at +750 in March. Girona beat Barcelona 2-1 at +700.
Notice the pattern: two of the three longest winners came against Real Madrid. A short price on a giant is still a price, and it loses at the longest odds when it loses.
How we price a LaLiga match
The club method compares how often a side scores at that ground with how often its opponent concedes on its travels, both against LaLiga’s average, and produces three chances. It is set out in full on our soccer predictions page. For the season-long markets, see our LaLiga odds and predictions.
LaLiga betting tips
- Start from the home price. Home sides won almost half of all LaLiga matches.
- Do not chase the draw in a mismatch. Heavy favorites drew twice in 38 from December to May.
- A big club at a short price earns little. Barcelona won 19 of 23 and returned 4.4 units.
- Read 2.5 as a coin flip. It went over 92 times in 176.
- Wait for five points. Below that, no bet.
