Pick the Fever – Fever at Aces prediction, odds and best picks

My number is Indiana by 0.15 and the market has the Aces by 4.5. Take the Fever at +1 or longer.

DraftKings has Las Vegas -4.5 at -105 and Indiana +4.5 at -115, read at 07:50 UTC on 30 September. The gap between my number and that price is 4.65 points. The best-of-three first-round series is tied 1-1: Las Vegas won Game 1 102-85 at home on 27 September, and Indiana won Game 2 99-89 in Indianapolis on 29 September. The winner goes through. Every figure below comes from the 2026 regular season, so neither playoff game is in any of them.

The number

Both teams finished with a winning record, so my figure takes each side’s games against winning opponents only: Las Vegas’s home games and Indiana’s road games. Las Vegas is 7-5 in those twelve home games and loses them by 1.4 points on average. Indiana is 4-7 in its eleven road games against winning teams and loses them by 1.1. Half the difference between the two is Indiana by 0.15.

That is close to a coin flip on a neutral floor. The market prices it as a two-possession game.

I play a side when my number and the price are at least a point apart. That makes Indiana a bet at +1 or longer. Anywhere from Aces -0.5 to Aces +1 is a pass, and Las Vegas becomes the bet only as an underdog of 1.5 or more.

The spread opened at Las Vegas -4.5 and has not moved. The moneyline has, from Aces -166 to -175, with Indiana out from +140 to +145.

Moneyline implies Fever 39.1 percent, Aces 60.9 percentChance to win the game, as pricedFever 39.1%Aces 60.9%From DraftKings's moneylines, Fever +145 and Aces -175, margin removed.

ESPN’s matchup predictor gives Las Vegas a 62.9% chance to win, against 60.9% in the DraftKings moneyline. It sits with the market, slightly further toward the Aces. I do not, and the gap is more than four times my threshold.

The samples

One game sits in both samples and moves everything. Indiana won 109-75 in Las Vegas on 12 July, a 34-point margin: the Aces’ worst home result against a winning team and the Fever’s best road result against one. Take that game out of both and my number moves to Las Vegas by 3.1. Against a line of 4.5, Indiana is still a bet, by 1.4 points instead of 4.65.

The rest of Las Vegas’s home sample runs from a 19-point win over Golden State on 21 June to a 16-point loss to Indiana on 5 July. Four of the twelve were decided by five points or fewer.

Indiana’s road sample is thinner at the top. Its best result outside the 12 July game was the 84-68 win in Las Vegas on 5 July; its worst was a 20-point loss at Minnesota on 24 September, the last game of its regular season.

The season series

Indiana won both regular-season meetings in Las Vegas, 84-68 on 5 July and 109-75 on 12 July. Las Vegas won the one in Indianapolis, 86-84 on 6 August.

Both Indiana wins in this building are in my number, in both teams’ samples. Three games is too few to price on their own. The playoff games so far went to the home team each time, by 17 and by 10.

Form

Las Vegas finished the regular season 8-2 over its last ten, winning by 12.6 a game, and won its last seven. The run closed with road wins at Seattle, 114-77 on 17 September, and at Phoenix, 100-82 on 24 September. Both losses in that stretch were at home: 92-87 to Minnesota on 15 August and 97-82 to Atlanta on 18 August.

Indiana went 6-4 over its last ten, winning by 4.1 a game, and finished 28-16 against Las Vegas’s 31-13.

Both teams played Game 2 in Indianapolis on Tuesday, so neither carries a rest edge into Thursday.

The total

DraftKings has the total at 181.5, down from 183.5 at the open, with -110 on both sides. My method prices the side only, so the total is not a bet here. Indiana’s games have a median total of 186 this season and Las Vegas’s have 179. Indiana went over 181.5 in 25 of its 44 games; Las Vegas did in 19 of 44.

The three regular-season meetings landed at 152, 184 and 170. The two playoff games landed at 187 and 188, both over this number. Five games settle nothing about a total.

Pick: Fever +4.5

Pick: Indiana Fever +4.5, playable to +1. My number is Indiana by 0.15. Price read at DraftKings, 30 September 2026 at 07:50 UTC.

What would change it: a line of Aces -0.5 to Aces +1 is a pass, and Las Vegas getting 1.5 or more makes the Aces the bet. This piece carries no injury information and none is claimed; a reported change to either starting lineup would also change the call.
