Lazio vs Juventus Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the draw at +270. It stays a bet down to +244.
Our Lazio vs Juventus prediction begins with what DraftKings is asking: Juventus -150, the draw +270, Lazio +380. Strip the 7.9% margin out of those three prices and the market has Juventus at 55.6%, the draw at 25.1% and Lazio at 19.3%. We have Juventus at 50.5%, the draw at 32.0% and Lazio at 17.5%.
The draw is where we disagree most: our number sits 6.9 points above the market’s. We need 5 points before calling anything a bet, so the draw clears the bar by 1.9. Neither side does. The market already rates Juventus 5.1 points higher than we do and Lazio 1.8 points higher.
That margin over the bar is thin, and the price that keeps it alive is close: at +244 the bet is gone. The draw also rests entirely on how Lazio played on the road last season, and this season they have played very differently away from home. That is the case against, set out below.
Why our number likes the draw
We give each club an expected-goals figure built from two rates, each set against the league average: what it scored at the venue it plays at on Sunday, and what the opponent let in at its own venue. Those two figures go into a Poisson model, which gives the chance of each of the three results.
This season is too young for that. Juventus have 3 league games at home and Lazio 3 away, while the method holds out for 6 at the venue before trusting 2026-27 numbers. So it runs on 2025-26: 19 Juventus home games, 19 Lazio away games, and the league averages of that season across 380 games, 1.28 goals a game for home sides and 1.15 for visitors.
Last season Juventus were 10-7-2 at home (wins, draws, losses), scoring 1.84 and conceding 0.84 a game. Lazio went 6-6-7 on the road, scoring 0.74 and conceding 0.79. Against the averages, Juventus scored at 1.44 times the home rate, and Lazio let in goals at 0.62 of it. The other way round, Lazio scored at 0.64 of the away rate and Juventus conceded at 0.73 of it. That works out to 1.14 expected goals for Juventus and 0.54 for Lazio.
Two clubs that scored and conceded little in those venues give a low expected score, and in the model a low score leaves more room for a draw. That is the whole source of the 32.0%.
The case against: this season’s Lazio
Lazio are 2nd in Serie A, unbeaten at 5-1-0 after 6 games, with 11 scored, 4 conceded and 16 points. Last season they finished 9th on 54. Juventus are 6th at 3-2-1, with 9 scored, 5 conceded and 11 points, after a 6th-place finish on 69.
On the road, Lazio have won all 3 league games this season, scoring 5 and conceding 1. That is 1.67 goals a game away from home, more than double the 0.74 our number is built on. Juventus are 2-1-0 at home, with 5 scored and 1 conceded. Three games a side is below the method’s minimum, so it does not move the number. But it points away from the draw, toward a Lazio side that is scoring on the road, and a club’s squad can change over one summer in ways last season’s record cannot show. If you think this season’s Lazio is the real one, this is not your bet.
Pick: Draw +270
The draw, at +270 at DraftKings. Down to +244 it is still a bet. Shorter than that, at today’s margin, and the draw’s edge falls under the 5-point bar: no bet.
What would change the call
Price comes first. The draw holds as a bet to +244. Juventus would become one at +104 or longer, and Lazio at +642 or longer.
Then the line-ups. Nothing on this page covers who is fit for Sunday, so check the team news first.
The total
The DraftKings total is 2.5 goals: over -105, under -120. With the margin removed that is 48.4% over and 51.6% under. We have the over at 23.7% and the under at 76.3%, a lean to the under of 24.7 points. The method only bets the result, so the total is shown for reference and is not a pick. It also leans on last season’s low-scoring Lazio, with the same caution as above.
Last season over 2.5 goals came in 15 of Juventus’s 38 league games and 12 of Lazio’s 38.
The last meetings
ESPN lists five meetings since April 2024: two Lazio wins, one Juventus win and two draws. The latest, in February 2026, finished 2-2 with Juventus listed as the home side. The method does not use them.
