Siena Saints

Siena gave up 65.68 points a game in 2025-26, and only 14 Division I teams gave up fewer; 23 of the Saints’ 34 games went under. They closed by covering four straight, three of them in the MAAC tournament.

The under

Twenty-three unders and 11 overs, 67.6%. Siena’s under rate trails 16 Division I teams and equals one. The last six games of the season all stayed under, including the MAAC final, 64-54 over Merrimack against a total of 128.5. At home 9 of 13 went under, and only three Siena opponents all season reached 80 points.

Against the spread

Siena finished 23-11 and covered 19 of 33, 57.6%. In March it went 4-0 and covered all four: 76-61 over Rider at -14.5, then Mount St. Mary’s, Fairfield and Merrimack in the tournament, the final as a 2.5-point underdog at +110.

Favorites at short prices

Siena was favored 28 times and won 21. Backing Siena every time it was favored, 27 priced games, came to 0.02 units down, as close to level as a season gets. The defeats were expensive: 86-80 at home to Sacred Heart at -410, 72-69 at home to Colgate at -290 and 63-59 at home to Merrimack at -245.

All 33 priced games together lost 1.68 units. Siena was an underdog only six times, and just 34 teams were underdogs less often; it won two of those and covered four, the MAAC final among them. November opened 7-2 straight up, but with four covers in eight.

Merrimack and Fairfield

Merrimack won the first two meetings, 63-59 at Siena in January and 79-72 in February, before Siena took the MAAC final. Fairfield split two regular-season games with Siena and lost the tournament semifinal 76-61.

After the MAAC title, the NCAA tournament lasted one game: Siena lost 71-65 to Duke in the first round.
