Mammoth vs Kraken Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Bet the Kraken at +142. Utah lost 20 of its 41 road games last season, and our number makes Seattle a 47.6% winner at home against the price’s 39.6%.

The Seattle Kraken are +142 and the Utah Mammoth -170 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 39.6% for Seattle and 60.4% for Utah. The price makes the visitors a clear favourite. Our figures have this much closer to even.

How 47.6% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Games at a neutral site are in neither half, and neither team played one.

The Kraken went 19-17-5 at Climate Pledge Arena, a 46.3% home win rate over 41 games. The Mammoth went 21-17-3 on the road: 17 regulation losses and 3 after regulation, so 20 losses in 41, a 48.8% road loss rate. The midpoint is 47.6% for Seattle and 52.4% for Utah, a gap of 8.0 points to the price.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +142 and -170 they come to 104.3%. Taken out, the Kraken are 39.6% and the Mammoth 60.4%.

Every input is from 2025-26: 41 Seattle home games and 41 Utah road games. This season has started for both and none of it is in the figures. The Kraken are 6-3-1, 2-1-0 at home, and beat Detroit 4-3 in a shootout at home on Tuesday. Philipp Grubauer has played six of their games and Joey Daccord five. The Mammoth are 7-3-0, 4-2-0 on the road, and beat Pittsburgh 5-4 at home on Monday. Karel Vejmelka has played eight of their games and Sebastian Cossa four.

Seattle at home, Utah on the road

The Kraken at home scored 2.95 a game and allowed 3.05, a deficit of 0.10. The Mammoth on the road scored 3.20 and allowed 2.83, a surplus of 0.37.

The halves the method leaves out: Seattle on the road went 15-20-6, a 36.6% win rate, scoring 2.56 and allowing 3.37. Utah at home went 22-16-3, 53.7%, scoring 3.34 and allowing 3.02. The Kraken were a much weaker team away from home than in it, and the method only reads them at home.

Over the full season these two finished 13 points apart. Utah went 43-33-6 with 92 points and outscored opponents by 28, then lost 4-2 to Vegas in the first round. Seattle went 34-37-11 with 79 points, was outscored by 37, and missed the playoffs.

Seattle went 13-5-11 in one-goal games and won 8 of the 19 that went past regulation. Utah went 16-11-6 in one-goal games and won 10 of its 16 past 60 minutes.

The Mammoth won all three meetings in 2025-26. Their 6-2 win in Seattle on 2 April is in both halves of our number. The two in Utah, 5-3 on 12 December and 6-3 on 17 January, are in neither.

Pick: Kraken +142

Bet the Kraken on the moneyline at +142. The gap is 8.0 points toward Seattle, against a threshold of 5.

The line read Kraken +142 and Mammoth -170 on 22 October 2026 at 14:10 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Seattle +130 and Utah -155, and has moved toward the Mammoth since.

What kills the bet

A shorter Seattle price. Against Utah at -170, the Kraken stay a bet down to +114. Utah is not close to being the bet: our number has the Mammoth at 52.4%, against 60.4% in the price.

ESPN names no starting goalie for Thursday, and neither team lists a goalie as injured. Seattle lists Jacob Melanson, Ryan Lindgren and Jake O’Brien on injured reserve. Utah lists John Marino as day-to-day, and Michael Carcone and Maveric Lamoureux on injured reserve. Check the lineups before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 6.5, over -108 and under -112. The Kraken’s games went over 6.5 in 29 of 82, the Mammoth’s in 38 of 82. Seattle’s home games averaged 6.00 goals, Utah’s road games 6.03.

That is 35.4% and 46.3%, an average of 40.9% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 49.6% and the under at 50.4%, so our number leans to the under, by 8.7 points. Our method bets the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet: under 6.5 at -112.

On the puck line, Utah is -1.5 at +142 and Seattle +1.5 at -170, which is 39.6% and 60.4% without the margin. Over the full season the Mammoth won by two goals or more in 27 of 82 games, and the Kraken lost by two or more in 32 of 82. Averaged, Utah -1.5 lands 36.0% of the time against 39.6% priced, a gap of 3.6 points toward Kraken +1.5, short of the 5 a lean needs. One bet on this game: the Kraken at +142.
