Week 10 Monday Night Football Predictions: Eagles vs. Packers

Last Updated on

Week 10 closes out with a massive NFC clash as Super Bowl contenders the Green Bay Packers host the reigning champions Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football.

The Eagles (6-2) are coming off a Bye Week where they needed it in a big way. A number of stars were banged up and made the most of this extra recovery time. Yes, we’re looking at you A.J. Brown. When we last saw the Eagles, they were crushing the New York Giants in a Week 8 revenge game.

The Packers (5-2-1) are coming off a loss in Week 9 as they dropped a home game against the Carolina Panthers. Green Bay also lost to the Cleveland Browns, which definitely shows us that this team lacks focus at times. They also were lucky to beat the Cardinals in Week 7.

This is the time of the year where teams start to make their ascension to the top of the conference. For this Week 10 MNF matchup, there’s more than just a win on the line. This game could be a pivotal tie breaker at the end of the season with Playoff seeding.

Currently, this game is expected to be a one-score affair, according to the latest NFL betting lines. With that said, let’s dive deeper into the latest MNF odds, courtesy of the top sports betting sites, and make our Week 10 NFL predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers.

Keep an eye on the latest NFL odds for MNF and monitor how the lines change up until kickoff.

The line first opened with the Philadelphia Eagles favored by 1.5 points. That spread rose as high as 2.5 points in favor of the Eagles.

Yet, as the season has gone on, the lines have flipped. The Green Bay Packers, who started off as a +100 Underdog, ended up becoming the home favorite with lines as high as -3 points and -165 odds. Since then, these numbers have trickled down to -2.5 and -130 for the Packers.

The Total opened at 45.5 points, went as low as 44 points, before settling around the current O/U of 46 points.

Over the last few weeks, we got back into the win column in a big way with three consecutive winning bets due to the Week 7 MNF doubleheader. Unfortunately, we jumped on the Cowboys’ bandwagon last week and the wheels fell off.

Monday Night Football Matchup

These two NFL Teams have played against each other 48 times and it’s the Green Bay Packers with the 28-20 series lead. However, the Philadelphia Eagles have been the more dominant team in recent years as they’ve won four of the last five meetings, including three in a row.

In fact, the last time these two teams played came in the 2024-25 NFL Wild Card Round where Philly won 22-10. They also played at the beginning of the 2024-25 NFL season in Brazil and the Eagles won that game 34-29.

Philly is 4-1 SU and 4-1 ATS in the last five head-to-head meetings. The Under is 5-2 in the last seven games played at Green Bay.

Monday Night Football Predictions

Let’s take a look at the participants in this week’s Monday Night Football game, and make our winning NFL picks

Philadelphia Eagles Monday Night Football

This year’s edition of the Philadelphia Eagles has not been as good as they were last year. Offensively, this team might be 10th in scoring (26.0 ppg) but they lack the production in other categories compared to last season. Most notably, the Eagles are just 16th in rushing this season. Last year, they had one of the best ground games in the NFL.

The passing attack has been a point of contention for players, bettors and fans alike. Philly is just 24th in the NFL at 192.8 ypg. Even worse, the Eagles give up the 5th highest sack rate at 10.42% in the league, which does not bode well for this MNF matchup.

While the Eagles looked great offensively in their last two wins (Giants, Vikings), they did it against inferior defenses. This week’s matchup will be against a defense with elite playmakers and a ferocious pass rush that wrecks plays even if they don’t get the sacks.

Defensively, the Eagles haven’t been as good as last year. They’re barely in the Top 20 for most of the major statistical categories. Last year, this unit was arguably the best defense in the league. Now, they’re middle of the pack.

For example, they allow 23.1 ppg (19th), 120.4 rushing ypg (19th), and 215.9 passing ypg (18th). These are not championship caliber numbers. However, I see Philly rising up to the challenge this week just like they did against the Chiefs and Buccaneers earlier this season. In fact, they should’ve beaten the Broncos too, but let Denver come back at the end to win.

Green Bay Packers Monday Night Football

I’m not sure how any fan or bettor can feel great about the Green Bay Packers heading into this MNF game. The Packers lost to the Panthers and Browns, along with tying the Cowboys. Those should have been three wins. Instead, they were massive disappointments and exposed this team’s flaws on both sides of the ball.

Statistically, the Packers are Top 10 against the run and pass. They allow just 89.4 rushing ypg (5th) and 197 passing ypg (9th). They are 8th in fewest points allowed (20.8 ppg). One issue this team has is turnovers. They are 31st in the league with just 0.6 turnovers per game.

If the Pack’s defense can play to their potential, they will be a tough matchup for a Philly offense that has been inconsistent this year.

Offensively, Green Bay could find success on the ground. Josh Jacobs needs a signature game and this could be it if the Packers can execute at a high level. The Eagles allow 120.4 rushing ypg and the Packers average 112.9 ypg.

I am curious to see how Green Bay’s passing game looks without TE Kraft who was their top receiving threat. He’s out for the year with a knee injury. Will anyone else step up? Will Love struggle?

Who Is Winning Monday Night Football?

This is going to be a tight matchup between two Playoff caliber teams. However, I am leaning towards the Eagles in this matchup. First, Philly is coming off a Bye and had two weeks to prepare for the Packers. Second, Green Bay looked awful against the Panthers last week.

Third, I don’t trust the Packers’ passing game without Kraft. So, I will need to see something to believe that this unit can still excel. They do rank 8th in the NFL coming into this MNF game but Kraft was the catalyst for that.

Lastly, the Eagles are 4-1 SU and 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams. They have won three in a row which includes two games last year if you included the Playoffs, as well.

I’m taking the Eagles to flip the switch and start playing like a true Super Bowl contender as they cover the spread and win this game outright. As for the Total, I am leaning towards the Under but I rather play it safe and avoid this wager.

Bet: Philadelphia Eagles +110, Eagles +2.5 (-110), Total (pass)

Monday Night Football Prop Bets

Let’s take a look at some of the best Player props and Game prop bets for this Monday Night Football matchup:

Philadelphia Eagles Total Field Goals

  • Over 1.5 FGs (-110)
  • Under 1.5 FGs (-110)

The Green Bay Packers give up 20.8 ppg, but only 14.7 ppg come from touchdowns. So, they are basically allowing an average of two field goals per game.

While Jake Elliott only has seven field goals this season, in the team’s toughest matchup so far (Chiefs), they kicked two field goals. I see that happening this week, as well. Points will be hard to come by, so I see this being a field goal battle.

Bet: Over 1.5 FGs (-110)

Saquon Barkley Rushing Yards

  • Over 76.5 yards (-110)
  • Under 76.5 yards (-110)

For the season, Saquon Barkley is only averaging 64.9 ypg which is nearly half of what he averaged per game last year. In Week 8, their most recent outing, Barkley put up 150 yards against his former team the Giants.

However, in six of his eight games this year, Barkley has surpassed 76 rushing yards just twice. Prior to his outburst in Week 8, the talented RB went five straight games of 58 yards or less.

Green Bay allows just 89.4 rushing yards per game. So, when you combine Barkley’s lack of yardage and the Packer’s stout run defense, this prop bet feels like an Under!

Bet: Under 76.5 yards (-110)

Jalen Hurts Passing Yards

  • Over 193.5 yards (-110)
  • Under 193.5 yards (-110)

Jalen Hurts is averaging 209.6 passing yards per game in his eight starts this season. The Packers allow 197.0 passing ypg which ranks 9th in the NFL.

With that said, I like for Hurts to go Over this mark on MNF. I believe he will lean heavily on his talented receivers and tight ends for this game. Green Bay will stuff the run, but they might not be able to stop Brown and Smith. Either way, Hurts should hit at least 200 passing yards for the fourth time in the last five games and for the fifth time overall.

Bet: Over 193.5 yards (-110)

Best Bets For Monday Night Football

Check out our best bets for Monday Night Football:

  • Philadelphia Eagles +2.5 (-110)
  • Saquon Barkley under 76.5 rushing yards (-110)

I really like the Eagles in this matchup. Plus, getting points in what should be a tight ball game is a luxury for us. With that said, they’re going to have to win this game with minimal rushing yardage because the Pack allow just 89.4 rushing yards while Barkley is averaging just 64.9 ypg and has gone over 76 yards in only two of eight starts.

If you put these best Week 10 MNF bets into a parlay, then you will win $264 for every $100 wagered. That’s almost a 3x on your parlay card.

Monday Night Football Song

Monday Night Football’s theme “Heavy Action” has become a pop-culture staple as generations of fans will instantly recognize the theme song within the first few notes.

Yet, over time, broadcast networks have tried to retool the MNF song to add an extra layer of entertainment, importance, and relevance. For over two-decades, Monday Night Football belonged to Hank Williams Jr. and his hit “All My Rowdy Fans Are Coming Over Tonight.”

In 2023, ESPN debuted a new opening song. They took one of the 80’s biggest hits “In The Air Tonight” by Phil Collins and modernized it with an all-star collaboration from Christ Stapleton, Snoop Dogg and Cindy Blackman Santana. As of now, this rendition is expected to remain the Monday Night Football song for the 2025-26 season.
