When a game is over, he goes back to what the market expected and reads the result against it: the number the game closed at, whether it covered, where the scoring actually came from, and which of the pre-game arguments held up. It is the least glamorous job on a betting site and the one that keeps the rest of it honest. He writes them the same way whether the call was right or wrong, because a recap that only revisits the winners tells a reader nothing they can use next week.
