Heat vs Warriors Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Heat on the moneyline. Our number gives Miami 43.9% at Golden State; the price gives them 36.9%.
The Miami Heat are +160 and the Golden State Warriors -191 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 36.9% for Miami and 63.1% for Golden State. Last season’s home and road records put the Heat 7.0 points higher than the market does. We bet at 5.
How 43.9% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Neither team played a game at a neutral site, so no games are left out of either half.
The Warriors went 22-19 at Chase Center, a 53.7% home win rate over 41 games. The Heat went 17-24 on the road, a 58.5% road loss rate over 41. The midpoint is 56.1% for Golden State and 43.9% for Miami.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At +160 and -191 the two come to 104.1%. Taken out, the Heat are 36.9% and the Warriors 63.1%. Our 43.9% against the market’s 36.9% is the gap of 7.0 points.
This season is not in our number. Golden State is 5-3, 3-1 at home, and won its last game 116-113 against the Phoenix Suns on Monday 2 November. Miami is 2-5, 1-2 on the road, and lost its last game 138-117 at the Los Angeles Lakers the same night. That start is outside the method, and so are any roster changes since last season. Eight games is too few to replace 82.
Golden State at home, Miami on the road
At home the Warriors scored 117.1 points a game and allowed 115.8, a margin of 1.3. That is a thin edge for a home team. The Heat on the road scored 118.3 and allowed 118.8, a margin of -0.5.
The halves the method leaves out run the other way. Golden State on the road went 15-26, scoring 112.1 and allowing 114.5, a margin of -2.4. Miami at home went 26-15, scoring 123.5 and allowing 118.3, a margin of 5.2.
The season around it
The Heat finished 43-39, 10th in the East, scoring 120.9 a game and allowing 118.5, a point difference of 2.4 a game. They won 29 games by 10 or more and lost 23 by that much. In games decided by 5 points or fewer they went 8-8, with one overtime game. They missed the playoffs.
The Warriors finished 37-45, 10th in the West, scoring 114.6 and allowing 115.2, a point difference of -0.6 a game. They won 20 games by 10 or more and lost 23. Their close-game record was 10-13, and five games went to overtime. They also missed the playoffs.
The teams split two meetings. The Warriors won 135-112 in San Francisco on Monday 19 January 2026; that game is in our number, as one of Golden State’s 41 home games and one of Miami’s 41 road games. The Heat won 110-96 in Miami on Wednesday 19 November 2025; that game is in neither half.
Pick: Heat +160
Bet the Heat on the moneyline at +160. The gap is 7.0 points toward Miami, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Heat +160 and Warriors -191 on 5 November 2026 at 05:30 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Heat +138 and Warriors -164. Since the open the market has moved toward Golden State: it gives the Warriors 63.1% now against 59.7% then, 3.4 points more. The price on Miami has drifted longer as a result.
What kills the bet
A shorter Miami price. At +157 or longer the Heat are a bet whatever Golden State is priced at. With the Warriors at -191, Miami stays a bet down to +139. Below that, pass.
For the Warriors to become the bet, their price would have to reach -104 or longer whatever the Heat are priced at, or +149 or longer against the Heat at +160. They are -191.
ESPN’s game page, read 5 November 2026 at 05:30 UTC, lists four Warriors out: Gui Santos (knee), Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Moses Moody (knee) and Jimmy Butler III (knee). Miami has no one listed. Our number reads last season’s records only, so the list does not change it. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Miami a 56.1% chance of losing. The case is narrower: at +160, the price pays more than that risk warrants on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 238.5, over -114 and under -106. The Warriors’ home games went over 238.5 in 18 of 41, a 43.9% rate, and averaged 232.9 points. The Heat’s road games went over in 21 of 41, a 51.2% rate, and averaged 237.1. Across all 82 games, Golden State went over 28 times and Miami 42.
The average of the two venue rates is 47.6% for the over. With the margin out, the market prices the over at 50.9% and the under at 49.1%. That leans to the under by 3.3 points, under the threshold of 5. Pass on the total.
The spread is Warriors -4.5 at -110 and Heat +4.5 at -110, unchanged from the open. Golden State beat that line in 19 of 41 home games, and Miami beat it in 21 of 41 road games. Averaged, the Warriors cover 47.6% of the time against 50.0% priced, a gap of 2.4 points toward Heat +4.5. That is a lean on the same side, not a second bet. One bet on this game: the Heat at +160.
