Knicks vs Cavaliers Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Our Knicks vs Cavaliers prediction: bet Cleveland to win at home. Our number gives the Cavaliers 56.1%; the price gives them 40.5%.

The New York Knicks are -163 and the Cleveland Cavaliers +137 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 59.5% for New York and 40.5% for Cleveland. Last season’s home and road records put Cleveland 15.6 points higher than the market. We bet at 5.

How 56.1% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Neutral-site games are in neither half. New York played one; Cleveland played none.

The Cavaliers went 27-14 at Rocket Arena, a 65.9% home win rate over 41 games. The Knicks went 22-19 on the road and lost 19 of 41, a 46.3% road loss rate. The midpoint is 56.1% for Cleveland and 43.9% for New York.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At -163 and +137 they add to 104.2%. Taken out, the Knicks are 59.5% and the Cavaliers 40.5%.

This season so far

None of 2026-27 is in our number. Cleveland is 5-4, 4-1 at home, and beat the Philadelphia 76ers 119-95 on Friday 6 November, the night before this game. New York is 4-4, 1-2 on the road, and beat the Chicago Bulls 135-105 on Wednesday 4 November.

The method also reads nothing from the playoffs. That matters here: the Knicks swept the Cavaliers 4-0 last spring. Those four games are outside our number, and so is any change to either roster since. That is the main risk in this bet.

Cleveland at home, New York on the road

At home the Cavaliers scored 119.2 points a game and allowed 114.6, a margin of 4.6. The Knicks on the road scored 113.6 and allowed 111.0, a margin of 2.6.

The halves the method leaves out favour New York. The Knicks went 30-10 at home, scoring 119.0 and allowing 109.0, a margin of 10.0. The Cavaliers went 25-16 on the road, scoring 119.9 and allowing 116.2, a margin of 3.7. Our number measures this venue pairing only, and in this pairing the Knicks were an ordinary road team.

The season around it

New York finished 53-29, third in the Eastern Conference, scoring 116.5 and allowing 110.1, a difference of 6.4 a game. Cleveland finished 52-30, fourth, scoring 119.5 and allowing 115.4, a difference of 4.1. In games decided by 5 points or fewer, the Cavaliers were 13-7 and the Knicks 11-5. Cleveland won 27 games by 10 or more and lost 17 that way; New York won 32 and lost 19.

In the playoffs Cleveland beat the Toronto Raptors 4-3 and the Detroit Pistons 4-3, then lost 4-0 to New York. The Knicks beat the Atlanta Hawks 4-2, the 76ers 4-0, the Cavaliers 4-0 and the San Antonio Spurs 4-1.

The regular-season meetings went 2-1 to New York. In New York, the Knicks won 119-111 on 22 October 2025 and 126-124 on 25 December 2025; those games are in neither half of our number. In Cleveland, the Cavaliers won 109-94 on 24 February 2026; that game is in our number, one of Cleveland’s 41 home games and one of New York’s 41 road games.

Pick: Cavaliers +137

Bet the Cavaliers on the moneyline at +137. The gap is 15.6 points toward Cleveland, against a threshold of 5.

The line read Knicks -163 and Cavaliers +137 on 7 November 2026 at 03:32 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, so it has not moved since opening.

What kills the bet

A shorter Cleveland price. At -104 or longer the Cavaliers are a bet whatever New York is priced at; with the Knicks at -163, they stay a bet down to -184.

For the Knicks to become the bet, they would need to be +157 or longer whatever Cleveland’s price, or +272 or longer with the Cavaliers at +137. They are -163.

ESPN’s game page, read 7 November 2026 at 03:32 UTC, lists Jarrett Allen (knee), Sam Merrill (elbow) and Jaylon Tyson (ankle) out for Cleveland, and Josh Hart (ankle) out for New York. Allen is Cleveland’s center. Our method reads 2025-26 records only, so the list does not change the number. Check the lineups before you bet.

Our number still gives Cleveland a 43.9% chance of losing. The case is that +137 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s home and road evidence.

The total and the spread

The total is 225.5, over -106 and under -114. The Cavaliers’ home games went over 225.5 in 25 of 41 and averaged 233.8 points. The Knicks’ road games went over in 18 of 41 and averaged 224.6. Across all games, Cleveland went over in 56 of 82 and New York in 39 of 82.

That is 61.0% and 43.9%, an average of 52.4% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 49.1% and the under at 50.9%. Our count leans to the over by 3.3 points, under the threshold of 5. Pass.

The spread is Cavaliers +3.5 at -106 and Knicks -3.5 at -114, unchanged from the open. At home Cleveland won, or lost by 3 or fewer, in 28 of 41. On the road New York won by 4 or more in 16 of 41. Averaged, Cavaliers +3.5 lands 64.6% of the time against 49.1% priced, a gap of 15.5 points on the same side as our pick. Our method stakes the moneyline, so this is a lean only. One bet on this game: the Cavaliers at +137.
