Magic vs Warriors Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Magic at +199. Our number gives Orlando on the road 47.5%; the price gives them 32.1%.
The Orlando Magic are +199 and the Golden State Warriors -241 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 32.1% for Orlando and 67.9% for Golden State. Last season’s home and road records put Orlando 15.4 points higher than the market does. We bet at 5.
How 47.5% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Games at a neutral site are in neither half. Orlando played three, and Golden State none.
The Warriors went 22-19 at Chase Center, a 53.7% home win rate over 41 games. The Magic went 19-20 on the road, a 51.3% road loss rate over 39 games. The midpoint is 52.5% for Golden State and 47.5% for Orlando.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At -241 and +199 the two prices come to 104.1%. Taken out, the Warriors are 67.9% and the Magic 32.1%.
The market prices Golden State as a two-to-one favourite. Last season’s split prices them as a near coin flip, and that difference is the bet.
This season so far
Golden State is 6-3 in 2026-27 and 4-1 at home. They beat the Miami Heat 120-100 on Thursday 5 November. Orlando is 2-6, 2-2 on the road, and lost 117-104 at the Phoenix Suns the same night.
None of that is in our number, which reads 2025-26 only. A 2-6 start is eight games, too few to describe a team. Rosters also change over a summer, and the number does not see that either. That is the main risk in this bet.
Golden State at home, Orlando on the road
At home the Warriors scored 117.1 points a game and allowed 115.8, a margin of 1.3. On the road the Magic scored 115.5 and allowed 115.4, a margin of 0.1. Both halves the method uses sit within a point and a half of even.
The halves the method leaves out point the same way. Golden State went 15-26 on the road, scoring 112.1 and allowing 114.5. Orlando went 25-15 at home, scoring 116.0 and allowing 114.2.
The season around it
The Warriors finished 37-45, 10th in the West, and missed the playoffs. They were outscored by 0.6 points a game, 114.6 to 115.2. The Magic finished 45-37, 8th in the East, and outscored opponents by 0.6 a game, 115.7 to 115.1. Orlando then lost a seven-game series to the Detroit Pistons, 4-3.
In games decided by five points or fewer, Orlando went 19-12 and Golden State 10-13. Each team played 5 overtime games. The Warriors won 20 games by 10 or more and lost 23 that way. The Magic’s count was 19 and 19.
The teams split two meetings. On Tuesday 18 November 2025 in Orlando, the Magic won 121-113, and that game is in neither half of our number. On Monday 22 December 2025 in San Francisco, the Warriors won 120-97. That game is in our number as one of Golden State’s 41 home games and one of Orlando’s 39 road games.
Pick: Magic +199
Bet the Magic on the moneyline at +199. The gap is 15.4 points toward Orlando, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Magic +199 and Warriors -241 on 7 November 2026 at 02:32 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Magic +191 and Warriors -230. Since then the market has moved toward Golden State, giving the Warriors 0.9 points more than at the open.
What kills the bet
A shorter Orlando price. At +136 or longer the Magic are a bet whatever Golden State is priced at. With the Warriors at -241, they stay a bet down to -109.
For the Warriors to become the bet, they would have to be priced at +111 or longer. Today they are -241.
ESPN’s game page, read 7 November 2026 at 02:32 UTC, lists Orlando without Paolo Banchero (ankle), Jalen Suggs (knee), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Noah Penda (hamstring) and Izaiyah Nelson (ankle), all out. For Golden State it lists Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Moses Moody (knee) out, with Draymond Green (elbow), Gary Payton II (calf) and Gui Santos (knee) day-to-day. The method reads last season’s records only, so the list does not change the number. Banchero and Suggs both being out is the second risk in this bet. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Orlando a 52.5% chance of losing. The case is that +199 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 220.5, over -114 and under -106. Golden State’s home games went over 220.5 in 31 of 41, a 75.6% rate. Orlando’s road games went over in 26 of 39, a 66.7% rate. The Warriors’ home games averaged 232.9 points, and the Magic’s road games 230.9.
The average of those two rates is 71.1% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 50.9% and the under at 49.1%, so our count leans to the over by 20.3 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only. This is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Warriors -6.5 at -114 and Magic +6.5 at -106, unchanged from the open. Golden State covered 6.5 in 16 of 41 home games. Orlando beat that line in 25 of 39 road games. Averaged, Warriors -6.5 lands 37.5% of the time against 50.9% priced, a gap of 13.4 points toward Magic +6.5. That is a lean on the same side. One bet on this game: the Magic at +199.
