Texas State Bobcats

Only Portland made more money at home than the Bobcats in 2025-26: one unit on Texas State in each priced home game returned 8.91. Away from home they won three of 12 and covered four.

The home floor

Texas State went 16-1 at home, two of those wins against non-Division I teams. The one defeat was 89-70 to Arkansas State on 17 December. Backing them in the 15 priced home games made 8.91 units; Portland was the only Division I team ahead.

The tell was the home underdog. They beat Marshall 72-68 at +154 and Troy 74-62 at +180. Against the spread at home: 10 of 15, 66.7%. As home favorites they covered seven of 11.

The road

Away from home it reversed. The Bobcats went 3-9, covered 4 of 12, and the road moneyline lost 4.68 over 11 games; only 31 teams covered less often away, and 12 matched it. Two of the three road wins came as underdogs, at Georgia Southern 77-71 at +160 and at South Alabama 90-82 at +154.

February

February was the month: 6-1 straight up, five covers, 5.32 units, with every win either at home or as an underdog. December had been the opposite against the number, 2-3 straight up and no cover in five.

Over 29 priced games the moneyline finished 1.23 up, and they covered 14 of 30.

Sun Belt opponents

Southern Miss met them three times and won two, the last 81-77 in the Sun Belt tournament. Arkansas State won both meetings, the second 83-82. Louisiana split, and its 67-54 win came with Texas State favored.

The total

Over 30 lined games the split was 16 overs to 14 unders. The Bobcats allowed 70.97 a game and scored 73.91; the season opener, 83-48 at Bowling Green, went under by 15.5.
