Blackhawks vs Panthers Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Blackhawks on the moneyline in Florida. Our number makes Chicago a 39.5% winner; the price says 31.5%.
The Chicago Blackhawks are +205 and the Florida Panthers -250 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 31.5% for Chicago and 68.5% for Florida. Our number has Florida at 60.5%, so the gap is 8.0 points toward the visitors.
How 60.5% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out of both splits. A side is a bet when our number and the market’s differ by at least 5 points.
The Panthers went 23-14-3 at Amerant Bank Arena, a 57.5% home win rate. The Blackhawks went 15-20-6 on the road, a 63.4% road loss rate. Averaged, Florida is 60.5% and Chicago 39.5%. That is 8.0 points better for Chicago than the price.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +205 and -250 they come to 104.2%. Taken out, the Blackhawks are 31.5% and the Panthers 68.5%.
Every input is from 2025-26. This season is not in the figures, and it has gone badly for Chicago. The Blackhawks are 4-10-1, 0-5-1 on the road, and lost 5-2 to Colorado on Monday 2 November. Spencer Knight has played 12 of their games and Arvid Soderblom 3. The Panthers are 8-5-2, 3-2-0 at home, and lost 5-3 to Detroit the same night. Akira Schmid has played 8 of their games, Jacob Markstrom 7 and Cooper Black 1.
Florida at home, Chicago on the road
The halves the method uses: the Panthers at home scored 3.3 a game and allowed 2.95, a surplus of 0.35. The Blackhawks on the road scored 2.59 and allowed 3.41, a deficit of 0.82.
The halves the method leaves out: Florida on the road went 17-23-1, a 41.5% win rate, scoring 2.88 and allowing 3.73. Chicago at home went 14-19-8, a 34.1% win rate, scoring 2.61 and allowing 3.29. The Panthers were a sub-.500 team away from their own arena, and that half is not in our number.
The season around it
Neither team made the playoffs. Florida went 40-38-4 with 84 points and was outscored by 25. Chicago went 29-39-14 with 72 points and was outscored by 62, scoring 2.6 a game and allowing 3.35.
Florida was strong in close games: 21-6-4 in one-goal games, and 8 wins in the 12 that went past regulation. Chicago went 13-8-14 in one-goal games and won 7 of 21 past 60 minutes. The Panthers lost by two goals or more in 32 of 82 games; the Blackhawks in 31 of 82.
Florida won both meetings in 2025-26. The 3-2 Panthers win on 7 October 2025 was played in Florida, so it is inside both halves of our number. The 5-1 Panthers win on 25 January 2026 was in Chicago, and it is in neither half.
Pick: Blackhawks +205
Bet the Blackhawks on the moneyline at +205. The gap is 8.0 points toward Chicago, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Blackhawks +205 and Panthers -250 on 3 November 2026 at 16:33 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, +205 and -250, so the market’s 31.5% for Chicago has not moved.
What kills the bet
A shorter Chicago price. At +190 or longer the Blackhawks are a bet whatever Florida is priced at. Against Florida at -250, they stay a bet down to +166.
For the Panthers to become the bet, they would have to be -124 or longer, or +145 or longer against Chicago at +205. They are -250.
The rest is on the ice, and none of it is in our number. ESPN’s injury list has Brad Marchand and Aleksander Barkov on injured reserve with knee injuries for Florida, and Jonah Gadjovich on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. Chicago lists Patrick Kane and Bowen Byram as out, both with upper-body injuries. Chicago’s 0-5-1 road start this season is a small sample, but it points the other way from our number. Check the lineups before you bet.
The total and the puck line
The total is 5.5, over -130 and under +110. The Panthers’ games went over 5.5 in 50 of 82, a 61.0% rate. The Blackhawks’ games went over in 42 of 82, 51.2%. Florida’s home games averaged 6.25 goals, Chicago’s road games 6.0.
Averaged, our number has the over at 56.1%. With the margin removed the over is priced at 54.3% and the under at 45.7%, so we lean to the over by 1.8 points. That is under the threshold. Pass on the total.
On the puck line, Florida is -1.5 at -102 and Chicago +1.5 at -118, which is 48.3% and 51.7% without the margin. Over the full season the Panthers won by two goals or more in 19 of 82 games, and the Blackhawks lost by two or more in 31 of 82. On that, Panthers -1.5 lands 30.5% of the time against 48.3% priced, a gap of 17.8 points toward Blackhawks +1.5. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean on the same side. One bet on this game: the Blackhawks at +205.
