How the number is built
The method: our home win chance is the average of the home team’s 2025-26 home win rate and the visitor’s 2025-26 road loss rate, where a win in overtime or a shootout counts as a win.
The Oilers went 22-14-5 at home last season, which is 22 wins, 14 regulation losses and 5 losses after regulation. That is a 53.7% home win rate over 41 games. The Canucks went 16-22-3 on the road and lost 25 of 41, a road loss rate of 61.0%. The average is 57.4% for the Oilers, which leaves 42.6% for the Canucks.
