Red Wings vs Panthers Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Bet the Red Wings on the moneyline. Our number gives Detroit 45.6% in Florida; the price gives them 39.1%.

The Detroit Red Wings are +145 and the Florida Panthers -175 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 39.1% for Detroit and 60.9% for Florida. Our prediction for Detroit Red Wings at Florida Panthers has Florida at 54.4%. The home team is still favoured, but by much less than the price says.

How 54.4% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Games at a neutral site are left out of both rates.

The Panthers went 23-14-3 at home in 2025-26, a 57.5% win rate. The Red Wings went 20-15-6 on the road, a 51.2% road loss rate. The average of the two makes Florida 54.4% and Detroit 45.6%. That is 6.5 points better for Detroit than the price.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At -175 and +145 they add to 104.5%. With it removed, Florida is 60.9% and Detroit 39.1%.

The two teams played four games in 2025-26. In Detroit, the Red Wings won 4-1 on 15 October 2025 and the Panthers won 3-1 on 6 March 2026. Those two are in neither half of our number. In Florida, the Panthers won 4-3 on 10 March 2026 and 8-1 on 15 April 2026. Both of those are inside our number, in Florida’s home half and in Detroit’s road half.

Pick: Red Wings +145

Bet the Red Wings on the moneyline at +145. The gap is 6.5 points toward Detroit, against a threshold of 5.

The line read Red Wings +145 and Panthers -175 at DraftKings via ESPN on 1 November 2026 at 17:32 UTC. It opened at the same prices, +145 and -175, so the market has not moved.

What kills the bet

A shorter Detroit price. Against Florida at -175, the Red Wings stay a bet down to +130. At +147 or longer they are a bet whatever Florida is priced at.

For the Panthers to become the bet, they would have to be +151 or longer against Detroit at +145, or +103 or longer whatever Detroit is priced at. They are -175.

The rest is on the ice, and none of it is in our number. ESPN’s injury list has Aleksander Barkov, Brad Marchand, Jacob Markstrom and Jonah Gadjovich on injured reserve for Florida. For Detroit it lists Dylan Larkin on injured reserve with a suspension, Simon Edvinsson on injured reserve in a contract dispute, Mason Appleton and Marco Kasper on injured reserve, and Albert Johansson day-to-day. Check the lineups before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 5.5, over -130 and under +110. Florida’s games went over 5.5 in 50 of 82, Detroit’s in 49 of 82. The Panthers’ home games averaged 6.25 goals and the Red Wings’ road games 5.73.

That is 61.0% and 59.8%, an average of 60.4% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 54.3% and the under at 45.7%, so our number leans to the over by 6.1 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only. The over is a lean, not a bet.

On the puck line, Florida is -1.5 at +145 and Detroit +1.5 at -175, which is 39.1% and 60.9% without the margin. Over 2025-26 the Panthers won by two goals or more in 19 of 82 games, and the Red Wings lost by two or more in 26 of 82. Averaged, Panthers -1.5 lands 27.4% of the time against 39.1% priced, a gap of 11.6 points toward Red Wings +1.5. It is a lean on the same side, never a second bet. One bet on this game: the Red Wings at +145.
