What the moneyline paid

Ten of the 12 had a moneyline; Syracuse (70-7) and Stanford (49-20) did not. The two opening losses, at -145 and -290, cost two units. The eight priced wins after them, at prices as short as -7500 against Navy, did not win it back: one unit on Notre Dame in each priced game finished 0.93 units down.

Against the spread

Six covers, six misses: 4-3 at home, 2-3 away. The widest cover was 56-13 at Arkansas, 37.5 points past a 5.5-point line. Big lines split: covered at -24.5 against Purdue and NC State and at -30.5 against Navy, missed at -21.5 against Boise State and at -30.5 at Boston College, a 25-10 win.

Points and the total

Notre Dame scored 42.0 points a game; only three FBS teams scored more. It allowed 17.58. The total went over in seven Notre Dame games and under in five.
