The Brooklyn Nets are +425 and the Boston Celtics -575 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 18.3% for Brooklyn and 81.7% for Boston. Last season’s home and road records put the Nets 4.9 points higher than the price does. Our rule is a bet at 5 points or more, so this one stops just short.
How 76.8% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Neither team played a game at a neutral site, so nothing was left out of either half.
The Celtics went 30-11 at TD Garden, a 73.2% home win rate over 41 games. The Nets went 8-33 on the road, an 80.5% road loss rate over 41 games. The midpoint is 76.8% for Boston and 23.2% for Brooklyn.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At -575 and +425 they add to 104.2%. Taken out, the Celtics are 81.7% and the Nets 18.3%. That leaves a gap of 4.9 points, all of it toward Brooklyn.
This season is not in our number. Boston is 2-1, 2-0 at home, and beat the Chicago Bulls 134-99 on Monday 26 October. Brooklyn is 0-3, 0-1 on the road, and lost 136-109 to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday 25 October. Three games each tell us nothing a rate can use. Rosters also change over a summer, and the 2025-26 records do not see that.
Boston at home, Brooklyn on the road
At home the Celtics scored 114.8 points a game and allowed 107.0, a margin of 7.8. The Nets on the road scored 103.5 and allowed 116.8, a margin of -13.3. Those are the two halves the method reads.
The halves it leaves out: Brooklyn at home went 12-29, scoring 108.4 and allowing 115.0. Boston on the road went 26-15, scoring 114.9 and allowing 107.3. The Celtics won three of the four meetings. In Boston, the Nets won 113-105 on Friday 21 November 2025 and the Celtics won 148-111 on Friday 27 February 2026; both games are in our number, as two of Boston’s 41 home games and two of Brooklyn’s 41 road games. In Brooklyn, the Celtics won 113-99 on Tuesday 18 November 2025 and 130-126 in overtime on Friday 23 January 2026; those are in neither half.
