Kings vs Spurs Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Kings at +950. Our number gives Sacramento 18.5% in San Antonio; the price gives them 9.2%.
The Sacramento Kings are +950 and the San Antonio Spurs -1650 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 9.2% for Sacramento and 90.8% for San Antonio. Last season’s home and road records put the Kings 9.3 points higher than the price does. We bet at 5.
How 18.5% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Games at a neutral site are in neither half. San Antonio played one, Sacramento none.
The Spurs went 32-8 at Frost Bank Center, an 80.0% home win rate over 40 games. The Kings went 7-34 on the road, an 82.9% road loss rate over 41 games. The midpoint is 81.5% for San Antonio and 18.5% for Sacramento.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +950 and -1650 they come to 103.8%. Taken out, the Kings are 9.2% and the Spurs 90.8%.
Both teams have started 2026-27. San Antonio is 1-2, 0-2 at home, and last won 122-106 at the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday 24 October. Sacramento is 0-3, 0-1 on the road, and lost 123-112 to the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday 25 October.
None of those games is in our number. It reads 2025-26 only, and rosters change over a summer in ways it does not see. If this Kings team is worse than last season’s 22-60 team, the 18.5% is too high. That is the main risk in this bet.
San Antonio at home, Sacramento on the road
At home the Spurs scored 120.5 points a game and allowed 111.9, a margin of 8.6. The Kings on the road scored 109.4 and allowed 122.2, a margin of -12.8.
The halves the method leaves out: San Antonio on the road went 29-12, scoring 119.4 and allowing 111.2, a margin of 8.2. Sacramento at home went 15-26, scoring 112.6 and allowing 119.8, a margin of -7.2. Neither changes the number.
The season around it
The Spurs finished 2025-26 at 62-20, second in the West, scoring 119.8 a game and allowing 111.5, a difference of 8.3. The Kings finished 22-60, 14th, scoring 111.0 and allowing 121.0, a difference of -10.0. San Antonio won 43 games by 10 or more and lost 8 that way. Sacramento won 6 by 10 or more and lost 40.
In games decided by 5 points or fewer, the Spurs went 13-10 and the Kings 10-11. Those samples are too small to read anything into. San Antonio played 2 overtime games, Sacramento 3. In the playoffs the Spurs beat the Portland Trail Blazers 4-1, the Minnesota Timberwolves 4-2 and the Oklahoma City Thunder 4-3, then lost 4-1 to the New York Knicks. The Kings missed the playoffs.
The Spurs won all three games between the teams. In San Antonio they won 123-110 on 16 November 2025 and 139-122 on 21 February 2026. Those two are in our number: two of the Spurs’ 40 home games and two of the Kings’ 41 road games. In Sacramento the Spurs won 132-104 on 17 March 2026, which is in neither half.
Pick: Kings +950
Bet the Kings on the moneyline at +950. The gap is 9.3 points toward Sacramento, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Kings +950 and Spurs -1650 on 27 October 2026 at 13:01 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Kings +1000 and Spurs -1800. Since the open the market has moved toward Sacramento: with the margin out, it gives the Kings 9.2% now against 8.8% at the open.
What kills the bet
A shorter Kings price. At +639 or longer the Kings are a bet whatever San Antonio is priced at. With the Spurs at -1650, they stay a bet down to +577.
For the Spurs to become the bet, their price would have to drift to -326 or longer, whatever the Kings are priced at. They are -1650.
ESPN’s game page, read 27 October 2026 at 13:01 UTC, lists Dylan Cardwell (calf), Maxime Raynaud (knee), Keegan Murray (ankle) and Ben Simmons (Achilles) out for Sacramento. For San Antonio it lists Tobias Harris (calf) and Jayden Quaintance (knee) out. The method reads last season’s results, so the list does not change the number. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Sacramento an 81.5% chance of losing. The case is that +950 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 230.5, over -112 and under -108. The Spurs’ home games went over 230.5 in 20 of 40 and averaged 232.4 points. The Kings’ road games went over in 23 of 41 and averaged 231.6. Across the full season it was 41 of 82 for San Antonio and 44 of 82 for Sacramento.
The two venue rates are 50.0% and 56.1%, an average of 53.0% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 50.4% and the under at 49.6%. Our count leans over by 2.6 points, below the threshold of 5. Pass.
The spread is Spurs -17.5 at -115 and Kings +17.5 at -105. It opened Spurs -18.5. San Antonio covered 17.5 in 7 of its 40 home games, and Sacramento beat +17.5 in 28 of its 41 road games. Averaged, Spurs -17.5 lands 24.6% of the time against 51.1% priced, a gap of 26.5 points toward Kings +17.5. That is a count of last season against this line, so it stays a lean on the same side. One bet on this game: the Kings at +950.
