Suns vs Thunder Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Bet the Suns at +320. Our number gives Phoenix on the road 32.9%; the price gives them 22.8%.

The Phoenix Suns are +320 and the Oklahoma City Thunder -410 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 22.8% for Phoenix and 77.2% for Oklahoma City. Our number puts the Suns 10.1 points higher than the market. We bet at 5.

How 32.9% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Games at a neutral site are in neither half. Oklahoma City played one; Phoenix played none.

The Thunder went 34-7 at Paycom Center, an 82.9% home win rate. The Suns went 20-21 on the road, a 51.2% road loss rate. The midpoint is 67.1% for Oklahoma City and 32.9% for Phoenix.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +320 and -410 the two come to 104.2%. With that removed, the Suns are 22.8% and the Thunder 77.2%. The gap between 32.9% and 22.8% is the whole argument.

The 2026-27 season has started, and it is not in our number. Oklahoma City is 3-0, 2-0 at home, and beat the LA Clippers 108-101 on Sunday 25 October. Phoenix is 1-1, 0-1 on the road, and beat the Golden State Warriors 131-122 on Saturday 24 October. Our number reads 2025-26 only. A summer of roster changes is outside it, and that is the main risk in this bet.

Oklahoma City at home, Phoenix on the road

At home the Thunder scored 119.1 points a game and allowed 107.3, a margin of 11.8. The Suns on the road scored 113.2 and allowed 113.8, a margin of -0.6. These are the two splits the method uses.

The halves the method leaves out: Phoenix at home went 25-16, scoring 112.0 and allowing 108.4. Oklahoma City on the road went 30-10, scoring 119.2 and allowing 108.3.

The season around it

In games decided by 5 points or fewer, Oklahoma City went 9-7 and Phoenix 12-14. The Thunder played 5 overtime games, the Suns 2. In the playoffs Oklahoma City beat Phoenix 4-0 and the Los Angeles Lakers 4-0, then lost to the San Antonio Spurs 4-3.

The Thunder won three of the five regular-season meetings. In Oklahoma City, the Thunder won 123-119 on Friday 28 November 2025 and 138-89 on Wednesday 10 December 2025. The Suns won 135-103 on Sunday 12 April 2026. Those three games are in our number, inside Oklahoma City’s 41 home games and Phoenix’s 41 road games. In Phoenix, the Suns won 108-105 on Sunday 4 January 2026 and the Thunder won 136-109 on Wednesday 11 February 2026. Those two are in neither half.

Pick: Suns +320

Bet the Suns on the moneyline at +320. The gap is 10.1 points toward Phoenix, against a threshold of 5.

The line read Suns +320 and Thunder -410 on 26 October 2026 at 13:05 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Suns +300 and Thunder -380. Since opening the market has moved toward Oklahoma City, which it now gives 77.2% against 76.0% at the open.

What kills the bet

A shorter Phoenix price. At +258 or longer the Suns are a bet whatever Oklahoma City is priced at. With the Thunder at -410, Phoenix stays a bet down to +221.

For the Thunder to become the bet, their price would have to drift to -164 or longer whatever Phoenix is priced at. Against the current Suns price, it would take +156. Neither is close to -410.

ESPN’s game page, read 26 October 2026 at 13:03 UTC, lists Otega Oweh (Achilles) and Nikola Topic (back) out for Oklahoma City, with Jalen Williams (ankle), Jaylin Williams (wrist) and Cason Wallace (shoulder) day-to-day. For Phoenix it lists Mark Williams (shoulder) out and Oso Ighodaro (oblique) day-to-day. The method reads last season’s records, so the list does not change the number. Check the lineups before you bet.

Our number still gives Phoenix a 67.1% chance of losing. The case is that +320 pays more than that risk warrants.

The total and the spread

The total is 219.5, over -105 and under -115. Oklahoma City’s home games went over 219.5 in 24 of 41, a 58.5% rate, and averaged 226.4 points. Phoenix’s road games went over in 27 of 41, a 65.9% rate, and averaged 227.0. Across all 82 games, the Thunder went over in 54 and the Suns in 46.

The average of the two venue rates is 62.2% for the over. With the margin removed, the market prices the over at 48.9% and the under at 51.1%. Our count leans over by 13.3 points. The method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.

The spread is Thunder -10.5 at -108 and Suns +10.5 at -112; it opened Thunder -9.5. Oklahoma City beat this line in 22 of its 41 home games, and Phoenix beat it in 31 of its 41 road games. Averaged, Thunder -10.5 lands 39.0% of the time against 49.6% priced, a gap of 10.5 points toward Suns +10.5. That is a lean on the same side, not a second bet. One bet on this game: the Suns at +320.
