Heat vs Kings Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Kings at +255. Our number gives Sacramento at home 47.6%; the price gives them 27.1%.
The Miami Heat are -316 and the Sacramento Kings +255 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 72.9% for Miami and 27.1% for Sacramento. Last season’s home and road records put the Kings 20.5 points higher than that. We bet at 5.
How 47.6% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Games at a neutral site are in neither half, and neither team played one.
The Kings went 15-26 at Golden 1 Center, a 36.6% home win rate over 41 games. The Heat went 17-24 on the road and lost 24 of 41, a 58.5% road loss rate. The midpoint is 47.6% for Sacramento and 52.4% for Miami.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +255 and -316 they come to 104.1%. Taken out, the Kings are 27.1% and the Heat 72.9%.
This season is not in our number, and it argues the other way. Sacramento is 1-8, 0-4 at home, and lost 124-109 to the San Antonio Spurs on Friday 6 November. Miami is 3-6, 2-3 on the road, and lost 120-100 at the Golden State Warriors on Thursday 5 November. Nine games is too few to measure a team, but the number reads 2025-26 only and does not see roster changes over the summer. That is the main risk in this bet.
Sacramento at home, Miami on the road
At home the Kings scored 112.6 points a game and allowed 119.8, a deficit of 7.2. The Heat on the road scored 118.3 and allowed 118.8, a deficit of 0.5. The gap between those two halves is smaller than the price suggests.
The halves the method leaves out are the ones that flatter Miami. The Heat at home went 26-15, scoring 123.5 and allowing 118.3. The Kings on the road went 7-34, scoring 109.4 and allowing 122.2.
The 2025-26 season
The Kings finished 22-60, 14th in the West, and were outscored by 10.0 points a game. They lost by 10 or more 40 times and won by 10 or more 6 times. The Heat finished 43-39, 10th in the East, and outscored opponents by 2.4 a game, winning by 10 or more 29 times and losing by that much 23 times. Neither team made the playoffs.
In games decided by 5 points or fewer, Sacramento went 10-11 and Miami 8-8. The Kings played 3 overtime games, the Heat 1.
The teams split two meetings. In Sacramento on Tuesday 20 January 2026, the Heat won 130-117; that game is in our number, one of the Kings’ 41 home games and one of the Heat’s 41 road games. In Miami on Saturday 6 December 2025, the Kings won 127-111; that game is in neither half.
Pick: Kings +255
Bet the Kings on the moneyline at +255. The gap is 20.5 points toward Sacramento, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Kings +255 and Heat -316 on 8 November 2026 at 00:31 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Kings +245 and Heat -303, so it has moved toward Miami since: the market gives the Heat 0.8 points more than at the open.
What kills the bet
A shorter Sacramento price. At +135 or longer the Kings are a bet whatever Miami is priced at. With the Heat at -316, they stay a bet down to -129.
For the Heat to become the bet, their price would have to drift to +111 or longer, whatever Sacramento is priced at. They are -316.
ESPN’s game page, read 8 November 2026 at 00:31 UTC, lists Maxime Raynaud (knee), Keegan Murray (ankle) and Ben Simmons (Achilles) out for Sacramento, and De’Andre Hunter (illness) day-to-day. Miami’s list is empty. The list is not in our number and does not change the call. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Sacramento a 52.4% chance of losing. The case is that +255 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 238.5, over -114 and under -106. The Kings’ home games went over 238.5 in 14 of 41 and averaged 232.4 points. The Heat’s road games went over in 21 of 41 and averaged 237.1. Across all 82 games, Sacramento went over 25 times and Miami 42.
That is 34.1% and 51.2%, an average of 42.7% for the over. With the margin out the over is priced at 50.9% and the under at 49.1%, so our count leans to the under by 8.2 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Kings +8.5 at -106 and Heat -8.5 at -114, unchanged from the open. Sacramento beat this line in 24 of 41 home games; Miami covered it in 13 of 41 road games. Our count has Kings +8.5 landing 63.4% of the time against 49.1% priced, a gap of 14.3 points. That is a lean on the same side. One bet on this game: the Kings at +255.
