Jazz vs Timberwolves Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Jazz on the moneyline. Our number gives Utah on the road 28.0%; the price gives them 20.3%.
The Utah Jazz are +373 and the Minnesota Timberwolves -486 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 20.3% for Utah and 79.7% for Minnesota. Last season’s home and road records put Utah 7.7 points higher than that. We bet at 5.
How 28.0% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates. One is the home team’s win rate in its own arena. The other is the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Neither team played a game at a neutral site, so nothing was left out of either half.
The Timberwolves went 26-15 at Target Center, a 63.4% home win rate over 41 games. The Jazz went 8-33 on the road and lost 33 of 41, an 80.5% road loss rate. The midpoint is 72.0% for Minnesota and 28.0% for Utah.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -486 and +373 they come to 104.1%. With it taken out, the Timberwolves are 79.7% and the Jazz 20.3%. The gap is 7.7 points toward Utah.
This season is not in our number. Minnesota is 7-3, 3-1 at home, and last played on Friday 6 November, a 115-109 win at New Orleans. Utah is 1-8, 0-4 on the road, and lost 112-100 at Dallas the same night. A 1-8 start is nine games and proves nothing by itself. It is still the main risk in this bet, because the method reads only 2025-26.
Minnesota at home, Utah on the road
At home the Timberwolves scored 114.8 points a game and allowed 111.1, a margin of 3.7. That is a modest home edge for a 49-win team. The Jazz on the road scored 114.0 and allowed 125.6, a margin of -11.6.
The halves the method leaves out: Minnesota on the road went 23-18, scoring 121.2 and allowing 118.2. Utah at home went 14-27, scoring 121.2 and allowing 126.4.
The 2025-26 season
The Timberwolves finished 49-33, sixth in the West, and outscored opponents by 3.4 points a game. They were 11-12 in games decided by 5 or fewer and played 4 in overtime. They won by 10 or more 28 times and lost by 10 or more 18 times. In the playoffs they beat the Denver Nuggets 4-2 and lost to the San Antonio Spurs 4-2.
The Jazz finished 22-60, fifteenth in the West, and were outscored by 8.4 points a game. They were 9-11 in games decided by 5 or fewer, with 5 in overtime. They won by 10 or more 9 times and lost by 10 or more 41 times. They missed the playoffs.
Minnesota won three of the four meetings. In Minneapolis, the Timberwolves won 137-97 on 7 November 2025 and 147-111 on 18 March 2026. Those two games are in our number: two of Minnesota’s 41 home games and two of Utah’s 41 road games. In Utah, the Timberwolves won 120-113 on 10 November 2025 and the Jazz won 127-122 on 20 January 2026. Those are in neither half.
Pick: Jazz +373
Bet the Jazz on the moneyline at +373. The gap is 7.7 points toward Utah, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Jazz +373 and Timberwolves -486 on 7 November 2026 at 22:33 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, so the market has not moved.
What kills the bet
A shorter Utah price. At +334 or longer the Jazz are a bet whatever Minnesota is priced at. With the Timberwolves at -486, they stay a bet down to +303. Below that, there is no bet.
For the Timberwolves to become the bet, their price would have to drift to -203 or longer whatever Utah is priced at. With the Jazz at +373, Minnesota would need to be +133 or longer. They are -486.
ESPN’s game page, read 7 November 2026 at 22:33 UTC, lists Anthony Edwards (knee), Donte DiVincenzo (Achilles) and Terrence Shannon Jr. (hip) out for Minnesota, with Joan Beringer (fracture) day-to-day. For Utah it lists Jusuf Nurkic (foot) and Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee) out. Our number does not read the injury list, and the call stands on the method alone. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Utah a 72.0% chance of losing. The case is that +373 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 222.5, over -114 and under -106. The Timberwolves’ home games went over 222.5 in 23 of 41, and the Jazz’s road games in 33 of 41. Minnesota’s home games averaged 225.9 points, Utah’s road games 239.6.
That is 56.1% and 80.5%, an average of 68.3% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 50.9% and the under at 49.1%. Our count leans to the over by 17.4 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Timberwolves -10.5 at -114 and Jazz +10.5 at -106; it opened at the same number. Minnesota at home won by 11 or more in 15 of 41 games. Utah on the road beat +10.5 in 20 of 41. Averaged, Timberwolves -10.5 lands 43.9% of the time against 50.9% priced, a gap of 7.0 points toward Jazz +10.5. That is a lean on the same side, not a second bet. One bet on this game: the Jazz at +373.
