Magic vs Raptors Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Magic at +160. Our number gives Orlando 45.1% in Toronto; the price gives them 36.9%.
The Orlando Magic are +160 and the Toronto Raptors -192 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 36.9% for Orlando and 63.1% for Toronto. Last season’s home and road records put Orlando 8.2 points higher than that. We bet at 5.
How 45.1% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Games at a neutral site are in neither half. Orlando played three, Toronto none.
The Raptors went 24-17 at Scotiabank Arena, a 58.5% home win rate over 41 games. The Magic went 19-20 on the road, a 51.3% road loss rate over 39 games. The midpoint is 54.9% for Toronto and 45.1% for Orlando.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +160 and -192 they come to 104.2%. Taken out, the Magic are 36.9% and the Raptors 63.1%.
Toronto is 2-1 this season, 1-0 at home, and lost its last game 117-94 at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday 25 October. Orlando is 1-2, 1-0 on the road, and won its last game 111-102 at the New York Knicks the same night. Our number reads 2025-26 only, so none of those six games is in it. The number also does not see a roster that changed over the summer. That is the main risk in this bet.
Toronto at home, Orlando on the road
At home the Raptors scored 115.3 points a game and allowed 110.8, a surplus of 4.5. The Magic on the road scored 115.5 and allowed 115.4, a surplus of 0.1. Those two halves are the whole method.
The halves the method leaves out: Orlando at home went 25-15, scoring 116.0 and allowing 114.2. Toronto on the road went 22-19, scoring 114.0 and allowing 112.8.
The season around it
Over the full 2025-26 season, the Raptors finished 46-36, fifth in the East, scoring 114.6 a game and allowing 111.8, a difference of 2.8. The Magic finished 45-37, eighth, scoring 115.7 and allowing 115.1, a difference of 0.6. Both teams went out in seven games in the playoffs: Toronto to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando to the Detroit Pistons.
The close-game records split hard. In games decided by 5 points or fewer, Orlando went 19-12 and Toronto 7-5. Toronto won 33 games by 10 or more and lost 23 that way; Orlando’s count was 19 each way. The Raptors played four overtime games, the Magic five.
The Raptors won two of the three meetings. In Toronto, they won 107-106 on Monday 29 December 2025 and 139-87 on Sunday 29 March 2026. Those games are in our number: two of the Raptors’ 41 home games and two of the Magic’s 39 road games. In Orlando, the Magic won 130-120 on Friday 30 January 2026; that game is in neither half.
Pick: Magic +160
Bet the Magic on the moneyline at +160. The gap is 8.2 points toward Orlando, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Magic +160 and Raptors -192 on 28 October 2026 at 13:01 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Magic +145 and Raptors -175, when the market gave Toronto 60.9%. It has moved toward the Raptors since, by 2.2 points.
What kills the bet
A shorter Orlando price. At +150 or longer the Magic are a bet whatever Toronto is priced at; with the Raptors at -192, they stay a bet down to +127. Below that, pass.
For the Raptors to become the bet whatever Orlando is priced at, Toronto would have to be +101 or longer. It is -192.
ESPN’s injury list for the game, read 28 October 2026 at 13:01 UTC, has Jonathan Isaac (knee), Jalen Suggs (knee), Paolo Banchero (ankle), Noah Penda (hamstring) and Izaiyah Nelson (ankle) out for Orlando. For Toronto it has Nate Bittle (foot) and Kawhi Leonard (knee) out. The method reads last season’s home and road rates only, so the list does not move the number. Five Magic players out against two Raptors is the reason to check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Orlando a 54.9% chance of losing. The case is that +160 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 221.5, over -105 and under -115. Toronto’s home games went over 221.5 in 23 of 41, a 56.1% rate. Orlando’s road games went over in 23 of 39, a 59.0% rate. Raptors home games averaged 226.1 points, Magic road games 230.9.
Averaged, that is 57.5% for the over. With the margin removed, the over is priced at 48.9% and the under at 51.1%, so our count leans to the over by 8.6 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Raptors -4.5 at -115 and Magic +4.5 at -105, where it opened. Toronto beat that line in 19 of 41 home games. Orlando covered +4.5 in 22 of 39 road games. Averaged, Raptors -4.5 lands 45.0% of the time against 51.1% priced, a gap of 6.1 points toward Magic +4.5. That is a lean on the same side, not a second bet. One bet on this game: the Magic at +160.
