Wizards vs Cavaliers Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Wizards vs Cavaliers prediction: no bet. Our number and the market’s put Washington one point apart, and we need five.

The Washington Wizards are +310 and the Cleveland Cavaliers -395 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 23.4% for Washington and 76.6% for Cleveland. Last season’s home and road records give Washington 24.4%, 1.0 point higher than the price. We bet at a gap of 5, so this price is right by our measure.

How 75.6% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Neither team played a neutral-site game, so no games are left out of either half.

The Cavaliers went 27-14 at home, a 65.9% home win rate over 41 games. The Wizards went 6-35 on the road, an 85.4% road loss rate over 41 games. The average is 75.6% for Cleveland and 24.4% for Washington.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +310 and -395 they come to 104.2%. Taken out, the Cavaliers are 76.6% and the Wizards 23.4%. Our 75.6% for Cleveland sits 1.0 point under the market’s figure.

This season so far

Cleveland is 2-1 in 2026-27 and 2-0 at home. Its last game was a 127-125 overtime win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday 26 October. Washington is 2-2, 1-1 on the road, and lost 110-103 at the Charlotte Hornets the same night.

Our number reads 2025-26 only, so none of these seven games is in it. Three or four games per team is too few to say anything about either side, and summer roster changes are outside the method too.

At home the Cavaliers scored 119.2 points a game and allowed 114.6, a margin of 4.6. On the road the Wizards scored 112.1 and allowed 125.2, a margin of -13.1.

What kills the bet

There is no bet to kill, so the useful numbers are the prices that would create one. Washington becomes a bet at +415 or longer whatever Cleveland is priced at; against the current -395, at +419 or longer. The Wizards are +310.

Cleveland becomes a bet at -240 or longer whatever Washington is priced at; against the current +310, at -142 or longer. The Cavaliers are -395, so the market would have to cut them a long way.

Averaged, our count puts the over at 42.7%. The market prices it at 50.0%, so we lean to the under by 7.3 points. The method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.

The spread is Cavaliers -10.5 at -105 and Wizards +10.5 at -115, unchanged from the open at 10.5. Cleveland covered -10.5 in 16 of 41 home games; Washington covered +10.5 in 13 of 41 road games. That puts the Cavaliers covering 53.7% of the time against 48.9% priced, a 4.7-point lean to Cavaliers -10.5. It is a count of one season against one line, and a lean only. No bet on this game.
