Magic vs Raptors Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Magic on the moneyline in Toronto. Our number gives Orlando on the road 45.1%; the price gives them 36.9%.
The Orlando Magic are +160 and the Toronto Raptors -192 at DraftKings for the Orlando Magic at Toronto Raptors on Friday. With the margin out, that is 36.9% for Orlando and 63.1% for Toronto. Our number puts Orlando 8.2 points higher than the market. We bet at 5.
How 45.1% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. A side is a bet when our number and the market’s differ by at least 5 points. Games at a neutral site are in neither half. Orlando played three of them and Toronto none.
The Raptors went 24-17 at Scotiabank Arena, a 58.5% home win rate over 41 games. The Magic went 19-20 on the road, a 51.3% road loss rate over 39 games. The average is 54.9% for Toronto and 45.1% for Orlando.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At +160 and -192 they come to 104.2%. With it taken out, the Magic are 36.9% and the Raptors 63.1%.
The two teams played in Toronto on Wednesday 28 October, and the Raptors won 129-99. Toronto is 3-1 this season and 2-0 at home. Orlando is 1-3 and 1-1 on the road. Our number reads 2025-26 only, so none of these games is in it. That 30-point loss two days ago is the result the market has reacted to, and our method does not see it.
Toronto at home, Orlando on the road
At home the Raptors scored 115.3 points a game and allowed 110.8, a margin of 4.5. On the road the Magic scored 115.5 and allowed 115.4, a margin of 0.1. Orlando broke even away from home. The market prices Toronto as though that were worse.
The halves the method leaves out: Orlando at home went 25-15, scoring 116.0 and allowing 114.2. Toronto on the road went 22-19, scoring 114.0 and allowing 112.8.
The season around it
The Raptors finished 46-36 and fifth in the Eastern Conference, scoring 114.6 a game and allowing 111.8, a difference of 2.8 a game. The Magic finished 45-37 and eighth, scoring 115.7 and allowing 115.1, a difference of 0.6. Both lost a first-round series 4-3: Toronto to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Orlando to the Detroit Pistons.
Orlando lived in close games. The Magic went 19-12 in games decided by 5 points or fewer, against 7-5 for Toronto. The Raptors won 33 games by 10 or more and lost 23 that way. The Magic won 19 and lost 19 by 10 or more. A 19-12 record in close games is a count, and it says nothing about whether the next one goes the same way.
The Raptors won two of the three games between the teams. In Toronto, they won 107-106 on 29 December 2025 and 139-87 on 29 March 2026. Those two are in our number: two of Toronto’s 41 home games and two of Orlando’s 39 road games. In Orlando, the Magic won 130-120 on 30 January 2026. That game is in neither half.
Pick: Magic +160
Bet the Magic on the moneyline at +160. The gap is 8.2 points toward Orlando, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Magic +160 and Raptors -192 on 29 October 2026 at 19:02 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Magic +130 and Raptors -155, when the market gave Orlando 41.7%. It has moved toward Toronto since: the market now gives the Raptors 4.8 points more than at the open.
What kills the bet
A shorter Orlando price. At +150 or longer the Magic are a bet whatever Toronto is priced at. With the Raptors at -192, they stay a bet down to +127.
For the Raptors to become the bet, they would have to be +101 or longer whatever the Magic price. Against the current Magic +160, they would need to be +161 or longer. Toronto is -192.
ESPN’s injury list for the game, read 29 October 2026 at 19:02 UTC, has Kawhi Leonard (knee) and Nate Bittle (foot) out for Toronto. For Orlando it has five players out: Paolo Banchero (ankle), Jalen Suggs (knee), Jonathan Isaac (knee), Noah Penda (hamstring) and Izaiyah Nelson (ankle). The list does not change our number, which reads last season’s results and none of these absences. Orlando’s list is the longer one, and that is the main risk in this bet. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives Toronto a 54.9% chance of winning. The case is that +160 pays more than Orlando’s 45.1% warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 224.5, over -110 and under -110. The Raptors’ home games went over 224.5 in 22 of 41, a 53.7% rate, and averaged 226.1 points. The Magic’s road games went over in 21 of 39, a 53.8% rate, and averaged 230.9. Across all 82 games, Toronto went over in 41 and Orlando in 49.
That averages to 53.8% for the over. With the margin out the over is priced at 50.0%, so our count leans to the over by 3.8 points. That is below the threshold of 5: no bet on the total.
The spread is Raptors -5.5 at -105 and Magic +5.5 at -115; it opened Raptors -3.5. Toronto beat this line in 19 of 41 home games. Orlando beat it in 24 of 39 road games. Averaged, Raptors -5.5 lands 42.4% of the time against 48.9% priced, a gap of 6.5 points toward Magic +5.5. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean on the same side, never a second bet. One bet on this game: the Magic at +160.
