Clippers vs Timberwolves Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Clippers at +200. Our number gives LA on the road 41.5%; the price gives them 31.9%.
The LA Clippers are +200 and the Minnesota Timberwolves -245 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 31.9% for the Clippers and 68.1% for Minnesota. Last season’s home and road records put the Clippers 9.6 points higher than that. We bet at 5.
How 41.5% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 regular-season rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Neutral-site games are in neither half. Neither team played one.
The Timberwolves went 26-15 at Target Center, a 63.4% home win rate over 41 games. The Clippers went 19-22 on the road, a 53.7% road loss rate over 41 games. The midpoint is 58.5% for Minnesota and 41.5% for the Clippers.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At +200 and -245 the pair comes to 104.3%. Taken out, the Clippers are 31.9% and the Timberwolves 68.1%.
This season so far
Our number reads 2025-26 only, so none of the 2026-27 games are in it. Minnesota is 3-2, 1-1 at home, and lost 119-114 to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday 28 October. The Clippers are 1-3, 0-2 on the road, and lost 103-87 to the Los Angeles Lakers the same night.
A 1-3 start is four games. It proves nothing in either direction. Rosters also change over a summer, and the number does not see that. That is the main risk in this bet.
Minnesota at home, the Clippers on the road
At home the Timberwolves scored 114.8 points a game and allowed 111.1, a margin of 3.7. The Clippers on the road scored 112.5 and allowed 113.9, a margin of -1.4.
The halves the method leaves out: Minnesota on the road went 23-18, scoring 121.2 and allowing 118.2. The Clippers at home went 23-18, scoring 115.0 and allowing 111.3. The Timberwolves were a better road team by record than the Clippers were at home in total margin, but neither half enters our number.
The season around it
Minnesota finished 49-33, the sixth seed in the Western Conference, scoring 118.0 and allowing 114.6, a point difference of 3.4 a game. The Clippers finished 42-40, ninth in the West, scoring 113.8 and allowing 112.6, a difference of 1.2. In the playoffs Minnesota beat the Denver Nuggets 4-2 and lost to the San Antonio Spurs 4-2. The Clippers missed the playoffs.
In games decided by 5 points or fewer, Minnesota went 11-12 and the Clippers 10-12. The Timberwolves won 28 games by 10 or more and lost 18 that way. The Clippers won 25 by 10 or more and lost 23.
The teams split four meetings 2-2. In Minneapolis, the Timberwolves won 109-106 on 6 December 2025 and the Clippers won 115-96 on 8 February 2026. Those two games are in our number: two of Minnesota’s 41 home games and two of the Clippers’ 41 road games. In Los Angeles, Minnesota won 94-88 on 26 February and the Clippers won 153-128 on 11 March. Those are in neither half.
Pick: Clippers +200
Bet the Clippers on the moneyline at +200. The gap is 9.6 points toward LA, against a threshold of 5.
The line read Clippers +200 and Timberwolves -245 on 29 October 2026 at 19:54 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at Clippers +285 and Timberwolves -360, when the market gave the Clippers 24.9%. Since opening it has moved toward the Clippers by 7.0 points. The bet was bigger at the open; at +200 it still clears the threshold.
What kills the bet
A shorter Clippers price. At +174 or longer the Clippers are a bet whatever Minnesota is priced at; with the Timberwolves at -245, they stay a bet down to +145. Another move like the one since the open would end it.
For Minnesota to become the bet, the Timberwolves would have to drift to -115 or longer. They are -245.
ESPN’s injury list for the game, read 29 October 2026 at 19:54 UTC, has Anthony Edwards (knee) and Donte DiVincenzo (Achilles) out for Minnesota. For the Clippers it has Yanic Konan Niederhauser (foot), Max Strus (foot), Brandon Ingram (Achilles) and Bradley Beal (knee) out, and Rui Hachimura (quadriceps) day-to-day. Our number is built from last season’s home and road records, so the list does not move it. Check the lineups before you bet.
Our number still gives the Clippers a 58.5% chance of losing. The case is that +200 pays more than that risk warrants, on last season’s evidence.
The total and the spread
The total is 221.5, over -110 and under -110. Minnesota’s home games went over 221.5 in 24 of 41, a 58.5% rate, and averaged 225.9 points. The Clippers’ road games went over in 25 of 41, a 61.0% rate, and averaged 226.4. Across all 82 games, Minnesota went over in 57 and the Clippers in 48.
The average is 59.8% for the over. The market prices it at 50.0%, so our count leans to the over by 9.8 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.
The spread is Timberwolves -7.5 and Clippers +7.5, both at -110; it opened Timberwolves -9.5. Minnesota won at home by 8 or more in 17 of 41. The Clippers won on the road, or lost by 7 or fewer, in 27 of 41. Averaged, Timberwolves -7.5 lands 37.8% of the time against 50.0% priced, a gap of 12.2 points toward Clippers +7.5. That is a lean on the same side. One bet on this game: the Clippers at +200.
