The turn in January

Thirteen straight wins ran from 21 November to 14 January, and November and December together went 12-1. January and February: 8-8, five covers in 16, 5.56 units lost. The worst price to fail was an 84-97 home loss to UCF at -1100 on 24 February.

Points and spreads

BYU scored 83.91 a game; only 23 Division I teams scored more. Against the spread the season finished 16 covers and 18 misses, and four home games carried spreads of 33.5 to 38.5 with no moneyline posted.

Houston, twice

Two meetings with Houston, two losses: 66-77 at home, then 66-73 in the Big 12 quarterfinal, covered at +370. Kansas State lost both meetings and BYU covered both. The NCAA tournament ended in the first round, a loss to Texas.
