Ole Miss Rebels

The Rebels lost seven of their eight February games in 2026 and then made 6.25 units in March, beating Texas, Georgia and Alabama in the SEC tournament as underdogs. At home their moneylines lost 7.92 units, and only seven Division I teams lost more there.

February to March

February opened with seven straight losses and finished 1-7, two covers in eight, 2.3 units lost. The turn came on its last day, 85-79 at Auburn at +470, and March kept to the underdog side with three SEC tournament wins in three days, 76-66 over Texas at +200, 76-72 over Georgia at +225 and 80-79 over Alabama at +500. Even the semifinal loss, 90-93 to Arkansas, covered 8.5. March finished 3-3, five covers in six, 6.25 units.

Home was the drain

Ole Miss went 7-9 at home, covered 4 of 16, and the 15 priced home moneylines lost 7.92 units. Only 13 teams covered less often at home. Home losses as favorites: Miami (-130), Mississippi State (-175), LSU (99-106 at -142) and South Carolina (61-64 at -310).

On the road the Rebels went 3-7 but covered 7 of 10, and the 10 priced road games made 4.14 units, the Georgia win at +490 among them.

Underdog and favorite

As underdogs: 6-15 straight up, 12 covers in 21, and 5.39 units on the moneyline, a return 44 teams beat. As favorites: 9-5 straight up, 3 covers in 14, 3.81 units lost on 13 priced; only 18 teams covered less often laying points.

The shortest-priced loss of the season came before any of this, in the Acrisure Classic in November: 74-75 to Utah at -750, the day after a 69-74 loss to Iowa. Neither covered, and the five home wins before them, laying between 9.5 and 37.5 points, produced one cover.

The total

Twenty overs and 15 unders, 57.1%; 59 teams went over more often. Across the whole season one unit on all 34 priced games made 1.58 units; March alone made 6.25.
