Raiders vs Jets Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Our Raiders vs Jets prediction is no bet. The Jets are 1.5-point favourites, our number has them by 2.27, and that gap is too small to bet.
The median of 11 books, read on 30 October 2026 at 19:14 UTC, has New York -1.5. My blended number is New York by 2.27. The gap is 0.77 points. The smallest gap I bet is 2.
The prices and what they say
Six of the 11 books have Las Vegas +1.5. Three have Las Vegas +1, and two have the game at pick ’em. The price on the Raiders side runs from -115 to +100. The moneyline median is New York -122 and Las Vegas +102.
A book builds a margin into every pair of prices: the extra that makes the two sides add up to more than 100%. With that margin taken out, the moneyline gives the Jets a 52.6% chance to win and the Raiders 47.4%. The first spread recorded for this game, on 27 October at 17:10 UTC, had Las Vegas -1.5. On 30 October at 19:10 UTC the books had Las Vegas +1.5, +1 and pick ’em.
How 2.27 is reached
The method for the side, in one clause: half the gap between the two teams’ points-per-game differentials, plus 2.5 points for home field. Over 2025, Las Vegas was -11.24 a game and New York -11.94. Half that gap, plus 2.5 for home field, makes New York a 2.15-point favourite.
This season, over seven games each, Las Vegas is -2.0 a game and New York -1.86. The same formula gives New York by 2.57. Weighted by games played, the blend is New York by 2.27.
The rule: a bet needs a gap of at least 2 points on the 2025 number and on the blend, both pointing the same way. Against New York -1.5 the 2025 gap is 0.65 and the blended gap is 0.77. Neither is close.
This season so far
Records and results are outside the method; only points scored and allowed go into it. Las Vegas is 3-4. It won 26-14 at the Chargers and 35-27 at New Orleans, then lost 45-17 at New England. At home it is 1-3, with three straight losses: 30-27 to Kansas City, 33-30 to Buffalo and 35-21 to the Rams. The Raiders covered the closing spread in Weeks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6.
New York is 2-5. Its wins came 23-10 at Tennessee and 17-12 at home to Cleveland. Last week it lost 28-25 at home to Miami as a 3.5-point favourite. Seven games a team is not a sample that proves anything.
Las Vegas on the road, New York at home
The method uses full-season rates. It leaves out the venue splits, and the splits below also leave out neutral-site games. In 2025 Las Vegas went 1-7 on the road, scoring 11.5 a game and allowing 27.5. New York went 2-6 at home, scoring 18.0 and allowing 29.2.
This season the Raiders are 2-1 on the road and the Jets are 1-2 at home. Three games each say nothing about either half.
The season around it
Both teams finished 2025 at 3-14, and neither made the playoffs. Las Vegas had a point difference of -191 and New York -203. In one-score games the Raiders went 2-5 and the Jets 3-5. In their divisions Las Vegas went 1-5 and New York 0-6.
This season the Raiders have scored 183 and allowed 197. The Jets have scored 137 and allowed 150. The two teams have not met since the start of the 2025 season, so no meeting is inside our number.
Pick: No bet
On the side, the gaps are 0.65 on 2025 and 0.77 on the blend, against a threshold of 2. On the total, the 2025 number is 2.1 points under the market, which clears, but the blend is only 0.86 under, which does not. A bet has to clear both. Neither market does.
Prices are the median of 11 books, read on 30 October 2026 at 19:14 UTC: New York -1.5 and a total of 45.5. The first recorded spread was Las Vegas -1.5 on 27 October. The first recorded total was 41.5 on 13 September.
What kills the bet
The Jets become the bet at -0.15 or better, which in practice means pick ’em. Two of the 11 books had pick ’em at the 19:14 UTC read. The median, which is the line this page stakes, is New York -1.5. The Raiders become the bet at +4.27 or better.
On the total, the under becomes a bet at 46.64 or higher, and the over at 41.4 or lower. The highest total at the 19:14 UTC read was 46. Check the injury reports, and check the lineups before you bet.
The total and the moneyline
The method for the total: each team’s expected points are the average of what it scored a game and what the other side allowed. In 2025 Las Vegas scored 14.2 a game against New York’s 29.6 allowed, for 21.9 points. New York scored 17.6 against Las Vegas’s 25.4 allowed, for 21.5. That makes a total of 43.4. This season’s rates give 47.64, and the blend is 44.64.
Eight books have 45.5 and three have 46. Last season 12 of the Raiders’ 17 games finished under 45.5, while the Jets split 9 over and 8 under. This season the split has reversed: five of seven Raiders games went over 45.5, on totals of 62, 57, 62, 63 and 56. Two of seven Jets games went over. The 2025 number says under, the 2026 number says over, and the blend falls 0.86 under the market. That is no bet.
The total was first recorded at 41.5 on 13 September. It reached 46.5 on 30 October at 13:10 UTC and stood at 45.5 and 46 at 19:10 UTC. The moneyline is context only: Jets -122, Raiders +102, a 52.6% chance for New York once the margin is out. My method stakes the spread or the total, and it stakes neither here.
