Cardinals vs Cowboys Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
No bet on Arizona +7 or on the total of 54.5. Our number has Dallas by 5.24, and neither gap reaches the two points we need.
Arizona Cardinals at Dallas Cowboys kicks off on Sunday 1 November 2026 at 1:00 pm ET. Arizona arrives 2-5 and Dallas 3-4. This prediction stakes the spread first and the total second. At this week’s prices, neither clears the rule.
The odds and what they say
Across 11 sportsbooks read on 30 October 2026 at 19:14 UTC, the median line is Dallas -7. Ten of the 11 books have Arizona +7, and one has +6.5. At +7 the Arizona price runs from -112 to -102. All 11 books have the total at 54.5.
The moneyline has Dallas at -323 and Arizona at +253. Turned into chances, those two prices add to more than 100%, because a book builds in a margin: the extra that lets it keep something whichever side wins. With the margin out, the market gives Dallas a 72.9% chance to win and Arizona 27.1%. The moneyline is context only. When we bet this game, we bet the spread or the total.
How Dallas by 5.24 is reached
The method for the side, in one clause: half the gap between the two teams’ points-per-game differentials, plus 2.5 points for home field. Over 17 games in 2025, Dallas was outscored by 40, which is -2.35 a game. Arizona was outscored by 133, which is -7.82 a game. That makes Dallas a 5.24-point favourite.
The market has Dallas by 7. Against our number, the gap is 1.76 points on Arizona’s side. Our threshold is two points, and a bet has to clear it twice in the same direction: on the 2025 number and on a blend of both seasons weighted by games played. Below two we pass. A number built on season rates carries more error than that.
The blend does not rescue it. Seven games into 2026, Dallas has scored 189 and allowed 180, +1.29 a game. Arizona has scored 142 and allowed 208, -9.43 a game. On this season alone the method gives Dallas by 7.86. Weighted 17 games to seven, the blend is Dallas by 6.0, a gap of 1.0 on Arizona’s side.
So the 2025 number and the blend lean Arizona, and this season alone leans Dallas. No lean reaches two.
This season so far
Records and results sit outside the method. Arizona is 2-5: 0-3 at home and 2-2 on the road. Both wins came away from home: 26-14 at the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, and 18-16 at the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6 as a 12.5-point underdog at the close. At home it lost 31-7 to Seattle, 45-21 to Detroit and 30-16 to Denver.
Arizona covered the closing spread in Weeks 1, 3 and 6, all on the road. Four road games prove nothing.
Dallas is 3-4, and 1-2 at home. It beat Washington 37-20 at home in Week 2, then lost there 34-31 to Baltimore and 24-16 to Tampa Bay. The Tampa Bay loss came as a 9.5-point favourite at the close. In Week 7 Dallas won 38-21 at Philadelphia.
Dallas at home, Arizona on the road
Our number uses whole-season differentials, and the venue splits are the half it leaves out. In 2025 Dallas went 4-3-1 at home, scoring 29.9 a game and allowing 30.4. Arizona went 2-7 on the road, scoring 20.2 and allowing 28.3. Both splits leave out neutral-site games.
Dallas allowed more at home than its season rate of 30.1. Arizona scored less on the road than its season rate of 20.9. Eight home games and nine road games are too few to build a split on, so neither enters the number.
The 2025 season and the last meeting
Dallas finished 2025 at 7-9-1, with a points difference of -40 and no playoff games. It went 4-3-1 in one-score games and 4-2 in the NFC East. Arizona finished 3-14, at -133, also without playoffs, 2-8 in one-score games and 0-6 in the NFC West.
The teams met once in 2025. Arizona won 27-17 at Dallas on 3 November 2025, in Week 9. That game is inside our number, as one of the 17 behind each team’s 2025 rates. On its own it says nothing about Sunday.
Pick: No bet
On the spread, Dallas -7 sits against our 5.24. That is a 1.76-point gap toward Arizona on 2025 and 1.0 on the blend, so both are under the two-point threshold. On the total, 54.5 sits against our 53.7. That is a 0.8-point gap toward the under on 2025 and 1.48 on the blend, also under two. The prices are the median of 11 books, read on 30 October 2026 at 19:14 UTC.
The spread opened at Arizona +10.5 on 13 September. It was +6 on 27 October, +7.5 on 29 October, and +6.5 and +7 on 30 October. At 7 the market sits between our 2025 number of 5.24 and our 2026 number of 7.86. We see no error in the price that clears two points.
What kills the bet
The price first. Arizona becomes a bet at +8 or better, and Dallas at -3.24 or better. The under becomes a bet at 55.7 or higher, and the over at 51.02 or lower. None of those is on the board: 10 books have +7, one has +6.5, and all 11 have 54.5.
No absence has been run through the method for this game. A late scratch at quarterback on either side is the one thing that would send us back to the number. Check the lineups before you bet.
The total
The method for the total: each team’s expected points are the average of what it scored a game and what the other side allowed. In 2025 Arizona scored 20.9 a game and Dallas allowed 30.1, which puts Arizona at 25.5. Dallas scored 27.7 and Arizona allowed 28.7, which puts Dallas at 28.2. That gives a total of 53.7. This season alone gives 51.36, and the blend gives 53.02.
All three numbers sit under 54.5, so the lean is the under. The largest gap is 1.48, on the blend, so the lean is not a bet. In 2025, 11 of Arizona’s 17 games finished under 54.5 and six went over. Dallas went nine over and eight under, with a median game total of 57 against Arizona’s 50.
This season the two teams split differently. Three of Arizona’s seven games have gone over 54.5, at 66, 60 and 66. Four of Dallas’s seven have, at 57, 65, 64 and 59.
The first total quotes, on 13 September, were 47.5 and 49.5. The total was 51 on 21 October, 54 on 27 October, 53.5 on 29 October and 54.5 on 30 October. Our blend of 53.02 is 1.48 under the current price, and we need 2.
Pick: no bet.
