Ducks vs Canucks Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Take the Ducks on the moneyline in Vancouver. Our number has Anaheim at 62.2%, exactly five points clear of the price.

The Anaheim Ducks are -148 and the Vancouver Canucks +124 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 57.2% for Anaheim and 42.8% for Vancouver. Our number is 62.2% and 37.8%. The gap is 5.0 points toward the Ducks, and 5.0 is our threshold.

How 62.2% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out.

The Canucks went 9-27-5 at Rogers Arena, a 22.0% home win rate. The Ducks went 19-20-2 on the road, a 53.7% road loss rate. Average 22.0% with 53.7% and the Canucks are 37.8%, the Ducks 62.2%. Against the price, that is 5.0 points better for Anaheim.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -148 and +124 they come to 104.3%. Taken out, the Ducks are 57.2% and the Canucks 42.8%.

Every input is from 2025-26. This season is not in the figures. Vancouver is 3-12-1, 1-6-0 at home, and lost 4-2 to Toronto on Saturday 31 October. Leevi Merilainen has played 11 of their games in goal and Kevin Lankinen 8. Anaheim is 6-7-1, 4-3-0 on the road, and beat Ottawa 6-3 on Sunday 1 November. Lukas Dostal has played nine games, Ville Husso five and Laurent Brossoit one. None of that moves our number, though none of it argues against the side either.

Vancouver at home, Anaheim on the road

The Canucks at home scored 2.46 a game and allowed 3.9, a deficit of 1.44. The Ducks on the road scored 3.12 and allowed 3.54, a deficit of 0.42. Both halves are negative. Vancouver’s is the worse one by a distance.

The halves the method leaves out: Vancouver on the road went 16-22-3, a 39.0% win rate, scoring 2.8 and allowing 3.8. Anaheim at home went 24-13-4, 58.5%, scoring 3.54 and allowing 3.49. The Canucks were a better team away from their own arena than in it. That road half is not in our number, and it is the half that would have flattered them.

The season around it

Anaheim went 43-33-6 with 92 points and a goal difference of -15. It then beat Edmonton 4-2 in a playoff series before losing 4-2 to Vegas. Vancouver went 25-49-8 with 58 points, was outscored by 100, and missed the playoffs.

The Ducks were strong in close games. They went 24-6-6 in one-goal games and won 17 of the 23 that went past regulation. Vancouver went 15-9-8 in one-goal games and won 10 of its 18 past 60 minutes. The Canucks lost by two goals or more in 40 of 82 games.

The four meetings in 2025-26 went mostly Vancouver’s way:

The two games in Vancouver are inside both halves of our number. The two in Anaheim are in neither. Four games is too few to describe this matchup, and the series is not part of the method.

Pick: Ducks -148

Bet the Ducks on the moneyline at -148. The gap is 5.0 points toward Anaheim against a threshold of 5. There is no room to spare: this is the smallest edge the rule allows.

The line read Ducks -148 and Canucks +124 on 2 November 2026 at 17:47 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, -148 and +124. It has not moved.

What kills the bet

A shorter Anaheim price. Against Vancouver at +124, the Ducks are a bet at -148 and no shorter. At -133 or longer they are a bet whatever Vancouver is priced at.

For the Canucks to become the bet, they would have to be +243 or longer against the current Ducks price, or +205 or longer whatever Anaheim is priced at. They are +124.

ESPN’s injury list has Thatcher Demko on injured reserve with a hip injury for Vancouver, along with Filip Chytil, Akil Thomas and Mackenzie MacEachern. Demko is the only goalie on either list, and our number is not re-run for him. Anaheim lists Troy Terry, Ian Moore and Ryan Poehling on injured reserve. Check the lineups before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 6.5, over -118 and under -102. The Canucks’ games went over 6.5 in 46 of 82, the Ducks’ in 49 of 82. Vancouver’s home games averaged 6.36 goals, Anaheim’s road games 6.66.

That is 56.1% and 59.8%, an average of 57.9% for the over. With the margin removed the over is priced at 51.7% and the under at 48.3%, so our number leans to the over by 6.2 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, not a bet.

On the puck line, Anaheim is -1.5 at +154 and Vancouver +1.5 at -185, which is 37.8% and 62.2% without the margin. Over the full season the Ducks won by two goals or more in 19 of 82, and the Canucks lost by two or more in 40 of 82. Averaged, Ducks -1.5 lands 36.0% of the time against 37.8% priced. A gap of 1.8 points is noise. Pass on the puck line. One bet on this game: the Ducks at -148.
