Blue Jackets vs Flyers Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

No bet on either side. Our number has Columbus at Philadelphia as a coin flip, and the price already sits within 1.1 points of that.

The Philadelphia Flyers are -105 and the Columbus Blue Jackets -115 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 48.9% for Philadelphia and 51.1% for Columbus. Our number is 50.0% each. A 1.1-point gap toward the Flyers is well short of the 5 points we need to bet.

How 50.0% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out.

The Flyers went 20-13-8 at home, a 48.8% win rate. The Blue Jackets went 20-17-4 on the road, a 51.2% road loss rate. The average is 50.0% for Philadelphia and 50.0% for Columbus. That is 1.1 points better for the Flyers than the price, against a threshold of 5.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair adds to more than 100%. At -105 and -115 the pair adds to 104.7%. With it taken out, the Flyers are 48.9% and the Blue Jackets 51.1%.

Every input is from 2025-26. This season is outside the method, and it has started badly for Philadelphia. The Flyers are 3-7-3, 2-3-2 at home, and lost 5-4 to Anaheim on Saturday 24 October. Joseph Woll has played seven of their games and Dan Vladar six. The Blue Jackets are 4-5-0, 0-2-0 on the road, and beat Vegas 2-1 in overtime the same night. Jet Greaves has played six of their games and Cam Talbot five.

Philadelphia at home, Columbus on the road

The two halves the method uses are both weak. The Flyers at home scored 2.71 a game and allowed 2.76, a deficit of 0.05. The Blue Jackets on the road scored 2.88 and allowed 3.10, a deficit of 0.22.

The halves the method leaves out run the other way. Philadelphia on the road went 23-14-4, a 56.1% win rate, scoring 3.39 and allowing 3.17. Columbus at home went 20-13-8, a 48.8% win rate, scoring 3.29 and allowing 3.07. The Flyers were the better team away from their own arena last season, and that half is not in our number.

The 2025-26 season

Philadelphia finished 43-27-12 with 98 points and a goal difference of +7. It beat Pittsburgh 4-2 in the first round, then lost 4-0 to Carolina. Columbus went 40-30-12 with 92 points, a goal difference of 0, and missed the playoffs.

Both teams lived in close games. The Flyers went 17-5-12 in one-goal games and won 16 of the 28 that went past regulation. The Blue Jackets went 18-13-12 in one-goal games and won 12 of 24 past 60 minutes. Philadelphia lost by two goals or more in 22 of 82 games, Columbus in 17.

Columbus won all three meetings. The first was 5-3 in Columbus on 28 January, and that game is in neither half of our number. The other two were in Philadelphia: a 2-1 shootout win on 14 March and a 3-2 win on 24 March. Both are inside Philadelphia’s home rate and Columbus’s road rate. Three games is too few to say anything about this matchup.

Pick: No bet

No bet on the moneyline. The gap is 1.1 points toward Philadelphia against a threshold of 5. At 48.9% against our 50.0%, the price on the Flyers is close to right, and the price on Columbus is close to right for the same reason.

The line read Flyers -105 and Blue Jackets -115 on 26 October 2026 at 15:34 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same -105 and -115, so the market has not moved.

What kills the bet

A longer price on either team. The Flyers become a bet at +122 or longer whatever Columbus is priced at. Against Columbus at -115, they need to reach +129.

The Blue Jackets become a bet at +122 or longer whatever Philadelphia is priced at. Against Philadelphia at -105, they need +139. Both teams are currently priced as slight favourites, so either one has a long way to move.

The rest is on the ice. ESPN’s injury list on the game page, read 26 October 2026, has four Flyers on injured reserve: Cam York (upper body), Owen Tippett (upper body), Travis Konecny (lower body) and Nikita Grebenkin (back). No goalie is on it. Columbus lists nobody. Check the lineups before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 5.5, over -120 and under +100. The Flyers’ games went over 5.5 in 44 of 82, a 53.7% rate. The Blue Jackets’ games went over in 48 of 82, 58.5%. Philadelphia’s home games averaged 5.47 goals, Columbus’s road games 5.98.

Those two rates average 56.1% for the over. With the margin out, the over is priced at 52.2% and the under at 47.8%. The lean is 3.9 points to the over, under the threshold. Pass on the total.

On the puck line, Columbus is -1.5 at +205 and Philadelphia +1.5 at -250, which is 31.5% and 68.5% once the margin is removed. The Blue Jackets won by two goals or more in 22 of 82 games, and the Flyers lost by two or more in 22 of 82. On that, Columbus -1.5 lands 26.8% of the time, 4.6 points short of its price, a lean toward Flyers +1.5. It is the same side as the moneyline gap, below the threshold, and our method stakes the moneyline only. No bet on this game.
