Panthers vs Bruins Best Pick, Prediction and Odds
Bet the Bruins on the moneyline. Our number makes Boston a 64.6% winner at TD Garden, and the price says 55.1%.
The Florida Panthers at Boston Bruins is priced Bruins -135 and Panthers +114 at DraftKings. With the margin out, that is 55.1% for Boston and 44.9% for Florida. Our figure is 64.6% for the Bruins. The gap is 9.5 points, and our rule bets any side where the gap is 5 points or more.
How 64.6% is reached
Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins. Neutral-site games are left out of both.
The Bruins went 29-11-1 at TD Garden, a 70.7% home win rate. The Panthers went 17-23-1 on the road, a 58.5% road loss rate. Averaged, Boston is 64.6% and Florida 35.4%. That is 9.5 points better for the Bruins than the price.
The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. At -135 and +114 they come to 104.2%. Taken out, Boston is 55.1% and Florida 44.9%.
Every input is from 2025-26. This season is outside the method, and so far it agrees with the side. The Bruins are 12-4-1, 7-1-0 at home, and won 6-2 at Pittsburgh on Thursday 5 November. Jeremy Swayman has played 12 of their games and Michael DiPietro 5. The Panthers are 9-5-2, 5-3-2 on the road, and beat Chicago 5-3 at home on Wednesday 4 November. Jacob Markstrom and Akira Schmid have played 8 games each, Cooper Black 1.
Boston at home, Florida on the road
At home last season the Bruins scored 3.54 a game and allowed 2.56, a surplus of 0.98. The Panthers on the road scored 2.88 and allowed 3.73, a deficit of 0.85. Those are the two halves in our number. They point the same way.
The halves the method leaves out run the other way. Boston on the road went 16-16-8, a 40.0% win rate, scoring 3.05 and allowing 3.48. Florida at home went 23-14-3, a 57.5% win rate, scoring 3.3 and allowing 2.95. The Bruins were an ordinary team away from TD Garden. That half does not price this game.
The season around it
Boston finished 2025-26 at 45-27-10 with 100 points and a goal difference of +22. It won two games and lost four in a playoff series against the Buffalo Sabres. Florida went 40-38-4 with 84 points, was outscored by 25, and missed the playoffs.
Florida was strong in close games: 21-6-4 in one-goal games, and 8 wins in the 12 that went past regulation. Boston went 20-8-10 in one-goal games and won 12 of its 22 past 60 minutes. The difference is in the blowouts. The Panthers lost by two goals or more in 32 of 82 games, the Bruins in 19 of 82.
Florida won the three meetings in 2025-26. The first, 4-3 in Boston on Tuesday 21 October 2025, is inside our number: it counts as a Bruins home loss and a Panthers road win. The other two were in Florida, 5-4 in a shootout on Wednesday 4 February 2026 and 2-1 on Thursday 2 April 2026, and are in neither half. Three games is too few to say anything about this matchup, and our number does not try.
Pick: Bruins -135
Bet the Bruins on the moneyline at -135. The gap is 9.5 points toward Boston against a threshold of 5.
The line read Bruins -135 and Panthers +114 on 7 November 2026 at 16:33 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, -135 and +114, and has not moved.
What kills the bet
A shorter Boston price. At -147 or longer the Bruins are a bet whatever Florida is priced at. Against Florida at +114, they stay a bet down to -223.
For the Panthers to become the bet, they would have to be +229 or longer whatever Boston is priced at, or +298 or longer against Boston at -135. They are +114.
The rest is on the ice. ESPN’s injury list, read 7 November 2026 at 16:33 UTC, has Anton Lundell out for Florida with an undisclosed injury, Aleksander Barkov and Brad Marchand on injured reserve with knee injuries, and Jonah Gadjovich on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. Boston lists James Hagens on injured reserve with a back injury and Matthew Poitras day-to-day with a nose injury. None of these changes our number, which runs on last season’s splits. Check the lineups before you bet.
The total and the puck line
The total is 6.5, over +100 and under -120. Both teams’ games went over 6.5 in 42 of 82, a 51.2% rate each. Boston’s home games averaged 6.1 goals, Florida’s road games 6.61.
That puts our over at 51.2%. With the margin removed the over is priced at 47.8% and the under at 52.2%, so our number leans to the over by 3.4 points. That is under the threshold of 5. Pass on the total.
On the puck line, Boston is -1.5 at +180 and Florida +1.5 at -218, which is 34.3% and 65.7% without the margin. Over the full season the Bruins won by two goals or more in 25 of 82 games, and the Panthers lost by two or more in 32 of 82. Averaged, Bruins -1.5 lands 34.8% of the time against 34.3% priced, a gap of 0.5 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, and half a point is no edge anyway. One bet on this game: the Bruins at -135.
