Flyers vs Canucks Best Pick, Prediction and Odds

Take the Flyers on the moneyline in Vancouver. Our number makes Philadelphia a 67.1% winner; the price says 52.6%.

The Philadelphia Flyers at Vancouver Canucks is priced Flyers -122, Canucks +102 at DraftKings. The two prices add up to 104.5%. With the margin out, that is 52.6% for Philadelphia and 47.4% for Vancouver. The market calls this close to a coin flip. Our number does not.

How 32.9% is reached

Our home win chance is the average of two 2025-26 rates: the home team’s win rate in its own arena and the visitor’s loss rate on the road. Overtime and shootout wins count as wins, and neutral-site games are left out. A side is a bet when our number and the market’s differ by at least 5 points.

The Canucks went 9-27-5 at Rogers Arena, a 22.0% home win rate. The Flyers went 23-14-4 on the road, a 43.9% road loss rate. The average of 22.0% and 43.9% puts Vancouver at 32.9% and Philadelphia at 67.1%. That is 14.5 points better for the Flyers than the price.

The margin is the extra a book builds into both prices so the pair comes to more than 100%. Here it is 104.5%. A fair pair adds to 100%, and taken back to that, the Flyers are 52.6% and the Canucks 47.4%.

Every input is from 2025-26. This season is outside the method, and it has gone badly for both teams. Vancouver is 3-15-1, 1-7-0 at home, and lost 4-2 in Edmonton on Saturday 7 November. Leevi Merilainen has appeared in 13 of their games and Kevin Lankinen in 9. Philadelphia is 4-10-4, 1-6-1 on the road, and lost 3-2 to the Rangers in New York on Thursday 5 November. Dan Vladar and Joseph Woll have appeared in 9 games each. The Flyers’ road record this season is the weakest fact on their side, and none of it is in our number.

Vancouver at home, Philadelphia on the road

Over the full 2025-26 season the Canucks at home scored 2.46 a game and allowed 3.9, a deficit of 1.44. The Flyers on the road scored 3.39 and allowed 3.17, a surplus of 0.22. Those are the two halves our number is built on.

The halves the method leaves out point the same way, with less force. Vancouver on the road went 16-22-3, a 39.0% win rate, scoring 2.8 and allowing 3.8. Philadelphia at home went 20-13-8, 48.8%, scoring 2.71 and allowing 2.76. The Canucks were worse in their own arena than away from it.

Over the full season the gap between these teams was wide. Philadelphia went 43-27-12 with 98 points and a goal difference of +7, then won a 4-2 series against Pittsburgh before losing 0-4 to Carolina. Vancouver went 25-49-8 with 58 points, a goal difference of -100, and missed the playoffs.

Close games favoured the Flyers too. They went 17-5-12 in one-goal games and won 16 of the 28 that went past regulation. Vancouver went 15-9-8 in one-goal games and won 10 of its 18 past 60 minutes. The Canucks lost by two goals or more in 40 of 82 games.

Philadelphia won both meetings in 2025-26. The 5-2 win in Philadelphia on Monday 22 December 2025 is in neither half of our number. The 6-3 win at Rogers Arena on Tuesday 30 December 2025 is inside both: Vancouver’s home record and Philadelphia’s road record.

Pick: Flyers -122

Bet the Flyers on the moneyline at -122. The gap is 14.5 points toward Philadelphia, against a threshold of 5.

The line read Flyers -122 and Canucks +102 on 8 November 2026 at 17:43 UTC, DraftKings via ESPN. It opened at the same prices, -122 and +102, so the market has not moved.

What kills the bet

A shorter Flyers price. At -164 or longer the Flyers are a bet whatever Vancouver is priced at. Against the Canucks at +102, they stay a bet down to -434.

For the Canucks to become the bet, they would have to be +258 or longer whatever the Flyers price; against the Flyers at -122, +370 or longer. They are +102.

The rest is on the ice. Both teams have started this season poorly, and that start is not in our number. ESPN’s injury list, read 8 November 2026 at 17:43 UTC, has Thatcher Demko on injured reserve with a hip injury for Vancouver, along with Filip Chytil (upper body), Akil Thomas and Mackenzie MacEachern (both undisclosed) on injured reserve, and Tom Willander day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Philadelphia lists Rasmus Ristolainen (hand) and Nikita Grebenkin (back) on injured reserve. Check the lineups before you bet.

The total and the puck line

The total is 6.5, over +102 and under -122. The Canucks’ games went over 6.5 in 46 of 82, the Flyers’ in 34 of 82. Vancouver’s home games averaged 6.36 goals, Philadelphia’s road games 6.56.

That is 56.1% and 41.5%, which puts our over at 48.8%. With the margin removed the over is priced at 47.4% and the under at 52.6%. Our number leans to the over by 1.4 points, short of the 5-point threshold. Pass on the total.

On the puck line, Philadelphia is -1.5 at +190 and Vancouver +1.5 at -230, which is 33.1% and 66.9% without the margin. Over the full season the Flyers won by two goals or more in 26 of 82 games, and the Canucks lost by two or more in 40 of 82. Combined, our number has Flyers -1.5 landing 40.2% of the time against 33.1% priced, a gap of 7.1 points. Our method stakes the moneyline only, so this is a lean, on the same side. One bet on this game: the Flyers at -122.
